The works in the verses I quoted are those things/actions caused by our faith in God. Splitting too many hairs may cause more problems for people than they help. We are to be led by the Holy Spirit. If we are, will not the appropriate works follow? If we are not, then what sort of works should...

Welcome to the forum!

Jas 2:17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. Jas 2:18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: show me thy faith without thy works, and I will show thee my faith by my works

Thank you sister! May God richly bless you and yours as you walk with Him.

I move more slowly these days in body and within... but I do move in fact. I only read a small fraction of the all the posts posted on this forum these days and rarely do I even visit any other forums. Every morning I have my private time with God. That is where it begins. Where it goes from...

Quite often, and especially among those who are newer in their walk with God, shadows are what are seen. We need to want to see better than that. We need to want to grow and we need to grow: from minimal perception to clearly. 1co 13:9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. 1co...

God has allowed it and as you say many have gone and are going that way... their own way that is. Do any of them also claim the label of "Christian"?

@WalterandDebbie "...Let us go unto perfection"! Mt 5:48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect. Let us proceed toward that seemingly impossible thing, the perfection of our Father, of our God! For man alone certainly an impossibility, but Jesus said...

No matter what the individual or group answer here is, ultimately is it not what God states which finally holds the sway? Who is seeking His face and who is listening to and obeying His Word? What is His Face and what is His Word? Who has eyes to see and ears to hear? Many may claim to have...

We are still living for God by faith rather than by knowledge. As we grow, if we are growing, faith in some things may be replaced by knowledge by God. Too many people take hold of what they call essentials and treat them as knowledge when maybe they are not. They still only believe. They do not...

God has not changed. He knew from the beginning, the differences between what was required of those living under the law given to Moses what has been required of those since Jesus' sacrifice and the pouring out of the Holy Spirit. Each of us needs to be following the lead of the Holy Spirit. In...

The individual, between him and God! He may follow men [church groups] in a measure if he agrees with them or he may not. This kind of question is one reason why there are so many "churches" supposedly Christian with so many sometimes diametrically opposed views on different points.

Consensus does necessarily equal Truth, does it? Look at the history of Christianity as it has continued to divide over the centuries into now thousands of denominations. Look at the topics on this forum and multitude of opposing views on them. Who is following God's Way? Even so...! Some...

God's Way, but how many can really see it and head on it toward Him?

Praying for you.

I really try NOT to condemn groups even though they seemingly have very little of the God. I grew up Catholic with my mother, but had a strong attachment to my father who was Pentecostal Holiness. They were divorced at a time before my memory begins and they lived 1500 miles apart all of my...

Understood, my friend! Help all of us dear Lord to trust in You and to lean on You!
