I remember @Stranger very well. On a number of points, I strongly disagreed with him, but as I got to know him, I also understood him better as a man and was able understand some of his beliefs. He definitely knew the Bible well. Sometimes we even agreed on things. He helped me out when I was...

Praying!

And are there not any who have read parts, or even all of the Bible, who do not understand or have misunderstood what they have read?

This is may be the case when a person completely ignorant of the Bible, and God and the things of God, begins his walk with God. If he does not grow from there, he may find himself falling instead being lifted up toward the Light.

Who among men knows all of the "facts? For this reason are we not warned by Jesus about judging others? Mt 7:1 Judge not, that ye be not judged. Mt 7:2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.

Evidence that a person has received a never- ending salvation would be a direct revelation from God! Who has received such?

Perhaps then we may assume that Joseph had not yet found the Life that Jesus brought?

Jesus also spoke of this, did not... here? Mt 7:13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Mt 7:14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few...

Continuing to pray.

If God has single correct name according to Him with what men call names according to Him, is it not possible to know Him before we come to know that name? 'In the name' without even knowing the name? An atheist I once knew mentioned that there would probably not be so many atheists if...

Many thanks

Thank you, my friend!

Praying for you @Holy999

Thank you dear sister for the kind comforting words. Our family moved my wife and me into our daughter's home last Saturday as we both need more assistance these days than we are able to provide for one another. My daughter has enough room that I still have my own study, which is a necessity...

Thank you, my friend and brother in Christ! Sometimes I pray for relief from the pain and/or discomfort, but I strive to seek always God's will in the situation.

If a person pushes to argue such a point with me, with God's help I have learned to back away. Only God gives any real increase to anyone. Yes, He does work through people, including me, at times, but I won't insist. The heart must be open to God, and I cannot open a heart. When a person asks...

Yes, indeed, our God IS a "consuming fire"! How close may a man approach that Fire, before it burns and consumes him? When the weather is freezing cold, does not everyone move closer to that Fire? But... in spite of the cold one who is unprepared can surely still be consumed. With the heat...
