    You do nothing Good

That went for me too. I'm so glad that Jesus changed that completely by coming and indwelling me. Now He does righteousness through me. It is not the old man who is now dead doing anything, but Christ who abides in me keeping His own commandments. 1 John 3:24.

    Doctrines of Demons???

Always remember that. Though we are dead to sin in reality, we must also reckon ourselves dead to sin and not let anyone talk us out of it with doctrines of demons. Right? And none of this imputed righteousness from the Old Testament given to Abraham while we keep on sinning either. Jesus causes...

    Doctrines of Demons???

@MatthewG Don't swallow the doctrine of demons on the forums that sinlessness is impossible. It is what Jesus came to do. 1. justified 1 John 1:9. We are also sanctified at the same time. Sin taken away (zero sins) 2. glorified Romans 8:29-30. Love wants to forgive and as 1 John 1:7 says...

    Doctrines of Demons???

Are you basing your salvation on the Eucharist, and Baptism? Receiving the Holy Spirit and His power is an event, not a ritual.

    Doctrines of Demons???

I agree, putting sinless and perfection together in one phrase is not a true doctrine and not what Jesus taught, nor do I. But Jesus said to be perfect as His Father in heaven is perfect. Can you be perfect and still sin? No. Matthew, the first thing that goes when we are born again is the sin...

    Doctrines of Demons???

I have no problem with the first set of questions. But if you wait to become like Christ you will forever remain in the state you were in when you died. Revelation 22:11. So think again. The correct answer is when you were justified and sanctified and were born again of the Holy Spirit inside...

    Doctrines of Demons???

Why? Doctrines of Demons that's why. The Bible is the Word of God. There is only one interpretation to each and every verse. God's interpretation. That is what you need to pray to receive. If you honestly give up everything man has taught you and ask God what His Truth is, He will teach you...

    Doctrines of Demons???

You don't understand. The Holy Spirit inside me gives me such a super-sensitive conscience I never want to sin. People have been taught for centuries that we will always sin, so must keep confessing their sins they willfully commit. What they don't know is the Holy Spirit is still drawing them...

Why do you feel it is so hard to be good?

Jesus abides in me, and I abide in Him. He is not outside me; He is inside me. Without holiness, no one shall see God.

    Doctrines of Demons???

@Mungo, @MatthewG, @Enoch111, @Stumpmaster, Just because we call ourselves Christians doesn't mean we are like Christ. Many prefer doctrines of demons. Jesus was our model and was the firstborn of many like Himself. Romans 8:29-30. Does anyone disagree that Jesus was sinless? That is why He...

    Doctrines of Demons???

When we are born again, our new nature partakes of the divine nature of God. We are NOT in the old flesh, but in the Spirit, IF the Spirit of God indwells us. Unfortunately those who continue to sin are in the flesh. They do not have the Spirit of Christ in them, thus do not belong to Him...

    Doctrines of Demons???

@Mungo Does your knowledge of what Jesus said include: John 8:32-36 A sinner is a slave to sin and will not inherit eternal life. 1 John 3:5 Jesus came to take away our sin and in Him there is no sin. 1 John 3:9 Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he...

    Doctrines of Demons???

Enoch, as many times as we go over this, I'm not giving up on you. Question: Jesus said to be perfect, as our Father in heaven is perfect. Can we be perfect and a sinner at the same time? Is God a sinner? Is Jesus asking the impossible or is a liar? You say He is. I Know He's not. 1 John 1:8 and...

    Doctrines of Demons???

Like how? I don't know what you believe. But it is clear what Jesus teaches.
  15. 1stCenturyLady

    Doctrines of Demons???

There are two ways to interpret what you believe. 1. Jesus' blood covers our sins while we keep on committing them, because He knows we are powerless to stop because we will always be sinners. 2. We know we can do nothing good by ourselves, and we confess that knowledge and Jesus literally...

    Doctrines of Demons???

Doctrines that Jesus disagrees with. Matthew 7:21-23 Our job is to know the difference and FOLLOW HIM.

    Doctrines of Demons???

Thanks. I think that first letter is a lower case "L" l d r Maybe due to the OP it is the liberal doctrine of righteousness. Or maybe lawless doctrines of righteousness. They certainly would be doctrines of demons. Anyway, he seems to think everyone should know so it must be common knowledge...

Why do you feel it is so hard to be good?

I'm a teacher and can't let it go at that. Matthew 7:21-23. I'm very concerned for the Church and that most of it will not be spotless when He comes.

Why do you feel it is so hard to be good?

You're not the only one, but so many believe so thoroughly in doctrines of demons they call us heretics to suggest that Jesus actually does take away our sin. They would rather misinterpret 1 John 1:8 and justify having their pet sins.
