    POLL: Was Jesus PERFECT?

Many still hold to the myth that the blood of Jesus merely covers my sins, WHILE I KEEP SINNING! IOW, no real power. It is a slap in His face. He sanitizes us! He takes away even the desire to sin.

Poll - Tattooing: from male military and biker ethos...to viable witness means for both genders?

How much of your body is tattooed? I just have eyebrows, so at least I know how it feels. I like it, not painful to me.

    Seventh Day Adventist Beliefs

Show me a scripture where the saints coming back with Christ were not just those who sleep, and not alive saints that went to heaven 7 years before. When Christ comes, the dead come back with Christ and his angels, and we who are alive and have remained on earth will be caught up with them at...

    Seventh Day Adventist Beliefs

I just noticed something in that verse that you didn't underline. Who wails? Kindreds (families) of those who "pierced Him." Jews throughout that last 2000 years that refused to accept their Messiah and died in their sins. Thanks for posting that, but it doesn't show a secret rapture. Wow! I...

    POLL: Was Jesus PERFECT?

That is a strange thing to say. Christians better not sin or they are not Christians. But it is nothing we can do in our own strength. That is the major reason for the baptism of the Holy Spirit to receive the seed of the Father so our nature which was crucified with Christ is born again and is...

    POLL: Was Jesus PERFECT?

Another definition is "complete" 16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

    POLL: Was Jesus PERFECT?

Of course Jesus was and is perfect. He wouldn't have told us to be perfect like His Father in heaven is perfect, if He wasn't Himself.

What do you do when God doesn't answer prayer?

Are you Spirit-filled? IOW do you have any of the gifts of the Spirit for supernatural hearing a prophecy, word of wisdom or word of knowledge, or interpretation of tongues? That is what I use to FIRST listen expectantly for God to speak WHAT I am to pray for. He does, I repeat it, and it comes...

There is more than one set of apocryphas.

My view on the EofB is that it was written by Paul's companion and fellow apostle, Barnabas. Just as Jude was accepted, as well as James, Barnabas has more authority as an apostle. You are becoming as one devoid of the fruit of the Spirit, so this is my farewell to you.

There is more than one set of apocryphas.

I'm not telling you to believe the EoB is inspired. That is totally up to you. But what is not up to you is to tell me it isn't, which you have been doing. Only the Spirit has that authority, of which I walk. Your belief in the Roman Catholic Church's authority is what is really troubling.

There is more than one set of apocryphas.

Yes, I too believe the Scriptures are true - all of them. I assume you've read the EoB, so what did you see that you object to?

There is more than one set of apocryphas.

Yes, I deleted that because the Spirit checked my spirit. Sorry. I had hoped I could delete it before you saw that. LOL You also missed my comment that only the Spirit could convince you.

There is more than one set of apocryphas.

In the 1990's, I read a book on the history of the canon. I discovered that the EoB was nominated and appeared on 6!!! official lists of books before the final selection was made. I was intrigued to read it myself and perhaps discern why it was not ultimately chosen. So I bought it and read it...

There is more than one set of apocryphas.

So you believe the Roman church was guided by the Holy Spirit? That was during a period in church history that they were adding paganism to attract pagans. As I said, I'm not Roman Catholic so don't use them as my guide to what is scripture and what isn't. You believe what you want. It doesn't...

There is more than one set of apocryphas.

No. You were saying that the Didache, itself, wasn't scripture, as if I did. You're hysterical!

There is more than one set of apocryphas.

You can remain closed to the idea, Farouk. But I'm not Catholic and assume they were led by God to chose all of His Word. They believe they are infallible.

There is more than one set of apocryphas.

ROFL! I never said the Didache was scripture. I said it quotes scripture.
  18. 1stCenturyLady

There is more than one set of apocryphas.

Are there any writings of Paul, Peter or John that are not scripture? They received all their teachings from the Holy Spirit. If the Epistle of Barnabas was actually written by Barnabas as the Didiche would presume, then it is scripture. He was an apostle.
  19. 1stCenturyLady

There is more than one set of apocryphas.

The Didache contains the teachings of apostles who wrote the scriptures. But I see you are not interested in reading ALL of God's words. I am.
