I have a question that remains unanswered:

Luke 5 21And the scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, Who is this which speaketh blasphemies? Who can forgive sins, but God alone? 22But when Jesus perceived their thoughts, he answering said unto them, What reason ye in your hearts? 23Whether is easier, to say, Thy sins be...

I have a question that remains unanswered:

Oh, certainly! But I'll be the first to admit that my affections are not fixed upon Him as they should be. :( But I don't wish to highjack the thread. Maybe I'll start another one.

I have a question that remains unanswered:

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, For they shall be filled. (Matthew 5:6) But when will we begin to truly hunger and thirst?

I have a question that remains unanswered:

    Surely both! :)

    I'm quite sure I didn't! :)

A False Teaching about the Cross and Jesus being Crucified

Uh, then why are you pursuing those who already believe?

I have a question that remains unanswered:

I wondered how long it would take to get a complaint or objection about my formatting. :)

I have a question that remains unanswered:

Jesus stated what He stated--no more, no less. My opinion as to what He meant is an interpretation--no more, no less. I am not interested in volleying back and forth in an endless contest of opinions/interpretations. If you see this as capitulation, that is of no consequence to me. If you have...

What's the weather like where you are?

Here in Central PA, the weather seems to be running about a month late. :)

    The simplicity of the Gospel

    Why wouldn't I? :)

I have a question that remains unanswered:

More thinly-veiled insults. Nice. What do you think I portray myself as, and what do you think I really am? o_O I have no idea what you're talking about. We probably have more in common than you think. I'm nobody, just an uneducated guy who likes to talk about Bible topics. How did...

I have a question that remains unanswered:

This is not civil discourse, and it's the kind of thing that goes on here all the time. And I can tell by your formatting of words that the discussion is bound to get heated. We are at an impasse.

Here is what it all comes down to—- and you’d better get it right!

But what if a person seeks to live by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God rather than focusing on a specific theme that is widely taught? There is more to the Bible than a narrow, sectarian view of the Gospel, isn't there? Just asking. :) On the road to Emmaus, the despondent...

Here is what it all comes down to—- and you’d better get it right!

I hear this term used a lot, BB. If the work of atonement was finished at the Cross, does that mean Christ's resurrection, ascension, and High Priestly ministry in the Heavenly Temple are unnecessary? :)

I have a question that remains unanswered:

To be truly fair to this question, Christ did say that He has the power to lay down His life, and take it up again. I don't know how He can do this in an unconscious state, but I believe what He says even when I don't understand it. I'm not sure, but I believe in other parts of Scripture it says...

Why do you feel it is so hard to be good?

It is the hardest thing in the world to give up our cherished opinions and ambitions and allow Jesus to live out His life in us fully. The Bible is full of remarks about the struggle of the believer. I do believe, however, that once the surrender is truly made, and the consecration becomes a...

    Wisdom

This is positively one of the very best OPs I've seen on CB and should be required reading or even included (even if only anecdotally) in the forum rules. If people could take this little gem to heart CB would be such a more enjoyable place to frequent!!! :);):p:D

I have a question that remains unanswered:

@GEN2REV Here is more info on "the soul." :) Living Souls When man had been created from the dust, what did he become? "And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul." Gen. 2:7. To what other order of...
