There are also those who point the finger.

Expositing and explaining Scripture = belittling believers--amazing! It is your own language that is belittling:

What is the biblical basis for all of this info? I won't deny that some of what you're saying is true, but there's a difference between flowery, rhetorical pontificating and preaching the word. Where's all the steaming denunciation coming from? What is your agenda? Because you obviously have...

But he says it is heaven and then he says it isn't. It's okay, anyway. He gets excited. We're only separated from God because the sin disease had to be quarantined (which lasts roughly 6000 years) on earth. God couldn't kill Satan when he originally sinned because it would have spooked the...

I've been banned there dozens of times (I'm kind of a computer geek so they can't really keep me out). ChristianForums.com is a misnomer. It is a closely guarded sandbox where only those with the right clothes can play.

Sounds like you were really delivered. :)

I could say the same thing to a certain extent. The poll only allows for 10 choices. I might just scrap it. :)

That is wonderful. Thank you. :)

I'm a Christian because Jesus has drawn and called me by His Spirit. It may sound over-simplified (and this is not even one of the choices in the poll but it would only allow me to list 10) but there is no other way He could have gotten my attention. I first accepted Christ as my Saviour when I...

@amadeus @JunChosen @robert derrick @CharismaticLady @charity @Nancy @Backlit @Tong2020 @marks @Hidden In Him @Christophany @GEN2REV @ReChoired @Ziggy @An Apologetic Sheepdog I think it is taken for granted that most Christians have basically the same reason for being so. But I also think it's...

I don't understand your post. The first sentence makes no sense at all to me. In the 2nd, you have directly contradicted yourself, my friend. :) Perhaps you are using hyperbole.

@JunChosen @robert derrick CC: @Backlit @ReChoired @GerhardEbersoehn @Ziggy @GEN2REV @An Apologetic Sheepdog For far too many Christians, the question is always "What must I do to be saved?" This is just selfishness. The main question should be: "How can I best cooperate with God in...

Your logic is like a pretzel here. I do not concede that the Sabbath is not a commandment, and you know it. I'm growing very tired of the head games. And I am not convicted that exhorting people to observe and obey what God has already said plainly in His (entire) Word is a wrong course of...

6) Then I saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel (ref. Rev 13:8) to preach to those who dwell on the earth—to every nation, tribe, tongue, and people— 7) saying with a loud voice, “Fear God and give glory to Him, for the hour of His judgment has come; and...

You're demanding a judgment from me that I'm thoroughly incapable of rendering. Why do you persist with such an absurd pursuit? You've practically admitted you are involved in sophistry: There is no argument. Only plainly worded Scripture: For this is the love of God, that we keep His...

Excellent post! :)

Or is it more like Christ's refusal to answer the Pharisees' yes-or-no question about taxes: but rather Render unto God that which is God's?

...as also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which untaught and unstable people twist to their own destruction, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures. (2 Peter 3:16)
