What benefit does it produce to make Jesus God

God was manifest in the flesh.....Jesus was Son of Man and Son of God. Your argument is with the scriptures and with God....suggest you ask Him for understanding. If you know Him then ASK Him, if you don't know Him then seek Him. Jesus said except you be born again of the Spirit you cannot...

What benefit does it produce to make Jesus God

The mother was human, but the father was God Almighty.....I'll just leave it to your little grey cells to figure out the kind of offspring that produced. :)

What benefit does it produce to make Jesus God

You've been given scriptures but aren't "hearing" them.

What benefit does it produce to make Jesus God

It's all over the bible, I can't think of an isolated verse that says it explicitly, though that doesn't mean there isn't one. But the bible says explicitly that He was God manifest in the flesh. So we have God and we have the flesh that He came in. The scripture says "a body thou hast...

Queen Elizabeth II dies at 96

I'm not a monarchist as such, but I do feel sad at the Queen's passing. She has been around for my whole life and by all accounts she executed her role very conscientiously, and has presided for 70 years over what might have been the most peaceful and prosperous era the world has ever seen...

What benefit does it produce to make Jesus God

Just the truth....that we know who/what we worship and have our faith in. But why does there have to be something in it for us? It's not about us, but glorifying God.

What benefit does it produce to make Jesus God

Well, I think of it this way... Jesus brings us to the Father. As mediator between God and man, it was necessary that He be both. IN Him and THROUGH Him man comes to the Father. Like a bridge, He bridges both man and the Divine. Also not sure He could have risen from the dead if He weren't...

What benefit does it produce to make Jesus God

Jesus didn't come as God, He made Himself of no reputation in the form of a servant, found in fashion as a man...but as Paul wrote, He WAS God manifest in the flesh. We have our faith and trust in Jesus Christ and that is how we are saved. We'd be sinning if we had our faith in a mere man...

What benefit does it produce to make Jesus God

Amen. Think that's the whole point of Christ being born of a virgin...that He was not begotten by man but by God. His Spirit overshadowed Mary, just the same as in the beginning the Spirit of God hovered over the face of the deep. That which was conceived in her is of the Holy SPIRIT. We...

What benefit does it produce to make Jesus God

But that's not all the bible says about Jesus, is it. He was a man and son of man, but not just a man. There are lots of scrips alluding to Who He is. If our faith were in any other man that would be idolatry. Why is it not idolatry to have our faith in Christ Jesus? The answer to the OP...

Poll: Tattoo artist: if a Christian daughter/son of yours worked as one, would you be supportive?

Goodness gracious so it's an "expectation" now is it? You know, the spirit of the world is always trying to get people to conform...ie, bow down, to it. But we as believers have not received the spirit of the world. Well, stick to your guns, people of God! As things become darker in this...

Poll: Tattoo artist: if a Christian daughter/son of yours worked as one, would you be supportive?

"Christian" tattoo parlour...hmmmm. Need to go learn what it means not to mix the holy with the profane. Also in scripture, when the sanctified touch what is unclean, it doesn't sanctify what is unclean, but it makes unclean what was sanctified. 2Co 6:17 Wherefore come out from among them...

Medical marijuana...it's becoming accepted by old and young?

No problem with using plants for medicinal purposes. The "psycho-active" chemical in marijuana can be removed. But using drugs recreationally to get high.....is an ancient pagan practice. Marijuana was used in ancient idol worship. I believe it makes people susceptible in certain ways...

Poll: Tattoo artist: if a Christian daughter/son of yours worked as one, would you be supportive?

This thread grieves me, it just makes me feel so sad. Why do we want so badly to do as the world does? Do we honestly think it's the HOLY Spirit that is compelling people to get tattoos? Why have tattoos become so popular in a time when the church hast lost so much ground here in the west and...

Poll: Tattoo artist: if a Christian daughter/son of yours worked as one, would you be supportive?

Yes, because it belongs to the darkness. Of course we all were once in darkness and had things to repent of when we came to Christ, but then we begin to learn and grow and walk in His ways, not our old ways. All I can say is ask the Lord about it and exercise discernment.

Poll: Tattoo artist: if a Christian daughter/son of yours worked as one, would you be supportive?

I think we need something more substantial than "everybody's doing it" to go by. That is rather more an argument against it I would think. Narrow is the way and few find it.

    The scourge of the fundamentalists!

Yes, heavenly Zion and New Jerusalem are the same thing....our spiritual mother, as it were, which gave birth to us in the spirit (born again). Psa 87:5 And of Zion it shall be said, This and that man was born in her: and the highest himself shall establish her. Isa 66:8 Who hath heard...

Poll: Tattoo artist: if a Christian daughter/son of yours worked as one, would you be supportive?

Maybe not, unfortunately. But it is certainly very world-like isn't it. :/

Poll: Tattoo artist: if a Christian daughter/son of yours worked as one, would you be supportive?

Christian liberty is one thing....some things are neutral, but I don't think pagan practices like tattooing are in that category. It's not a sin to either eat meat or avoid it. God may be longsuffering and merciful to those who are young in the faith and may be ignorant of His word and ways...

Poll: Tattoo artist: if a Christian daughter/son of yours worked as one, would you be supportive?

I believe we as believers should give tattoos a pass, yes. The Israelites were told not to copy the ways of the heathen nations around them. That for the church means we should not live as the lost world lives who are in darkness. Unfortunately the world is influencing and infiltrating the...
