Scripture says that she became his wife after he brought her into his mother's tent. Genesis 24:67 67 Then Isaac brought her into the tent of Sarah his mother and took Rebekah, and she became his wife, and he loved her. So Isaac was comforted after his mother’s death.

Wow!! This created a very vivid picture in my mind that I can relate to very well. I'm quoting this, because I need to remember this ...God is highlighting this (for a totally different reason than the subject of this thread).

That wasn't a wedding ceremony. That was basically exchange of a dowry of sorts (tokens of agreement) between Abraham's servant and Rebekah's father/family. Isaac wasn't even present. It can't be a wedding without him present.
