    Jesus and Commands

I never read about him. Of course, there are many ways. One is over-tipping.

    Jesus and Commands

Abraham believed and acted on God's spoken word to him. Much like when the Holy Spirit speaks to us and we believe and act on a rhema. It produces the gift of faith, which sees the spoken word come to pass.

    Jesus and Commands

The are called the laws of liberty in Scripture. Liberty from SIN. John 8:34-36. And how is that? The Holy Spirit. Romans 8 describes it best. (Remember the Ten Commandments are the laws of sin and death. They are also called the ministry of (sin and ) death. 2 For the law of the Spirit of...

    Jesus and Commands

But the Ten Commandments are part of the Mosaic Covenant. It is not all sacrifices and feasts that are fulfilled in Christ. Sin, itself, was conquered on the cross. Sin was the whole reason for the law. Do away with sin and the sin nature, and you virtually do away with the need for the law. We...

    Jesus and Commands

Scripture says either. Righteousness or holiness. Revelation 22:11. But, I like your idea of inheriting glory. I pointed that out in another thread when it was partially revealed to me through the Spirit, just not fully. What scriptures do you have that supports there is a difference? I'd like...

    Jesus and Commands

We obey the eternal laws of God through the Spirit. They are the laws of righteousness - "To love God with all your heart, mind and strength, and your neighbor as yourself. And "by the Spirit" I mean from being born again with a NEW NATURE that is empowered by the Spirit.

    Jesus and Commands

The Ten Commandments doesn't require love to fulfill them, just willpower, but from a sinful nature. That is why the Ten Commandments as a way to fulfill righteousness failed.

    Jesus and Commands

I would say "saved" in the sense of having obtained eternal life, even if they first must die, physically. My question remains.

    Jesus and Commands

Jesus lived under the Law, but came to introduce a new way to fulfill the righteous requirements of the Law. Matthew 5 contrasts the two ways. "...But i say to you,..." The old way was the Ten Commandments - the ministry of sin and death. The new way is through the Spirit, and is far superior...

    Jesus and Commands

I agree, but is the first person really born again? The Church is overflowing with this type of lukewarm Christian. If they do not have the Spirit of Christ to be like Him, are they really saved?

Office of a Prophet.....Gift of prophesy

Do you honestly believe we see God even with the Bible? No! We STILL see Him as through a dark glass. Reading about Him, is not the same as seeing Him. We will only know Him as He knows us now, when we see Him FACE TO FACE. That conclusion is written by Paul, not reasoned out by unbelieving...

Office of a Prophet.....Gift of prophesy

So you are without any doubt going to say what "that" is? Even if it goes against our New Covenant? Don't you see that is like God is a chef who writes a recipe book, then when it is published, says okay, worship the book, don't eat anything in it.

Office of a Prophet.....Gift of prophesy

Yes, but the same chapter tells us WHEN they would cease - when we see Him face to face. The gifts are part of our New Covenant and part of our "abundant life. Nothing in a covenant ends until the covenant, itself, ends. The Bible spells out what we have, it doesn't negate anything. If you...

For I acknowledge my transgressions; and my sin is ever before me. Psalms 51:3.

Yes, he took them, at least mine, totally out of context. He apologized, but it was deliberate. Yes, Jesus died for the sins of the whole world, BUT there are conditions. To leave it as Universalism, that the whole world is now saved, and no one going into the lake of fire, is unscriptural.

For I acknowledge my transgressions; and my sin is ever before me. Psalms 51:3.

I asked for scripture to back up your claim, and you give me carnal human reasoning. By our words we either confirm or contradict written scripture.

For I acknowledge my transgressions; and my sin is ever before me. Psalms 51:3.

What I said was: "Sin is not forgiven if you don't really mean to turn from them and turn them over to Jesus Christ." But you quote only me saying, "Sin is not forgiven" For you to take my words out of context of the whole is slander. Shame on you for your malicious misrepresentation of my...

For I acknowledge my transgressions; and my sin is ever before me. Psalms 51:3.

There are so many scriptures that say that if we belong to Christ, our flesh (sin nature) has been crucified with Christ and is dead - and we rise in the Spirit, with a new nature. And yet you say this isn't true. What scriptures say we, as Christians, still have a sin nature? You said...

Sin, Transgression, Iniquity. All the same?

Not "for you" - "through you." Partnership.

For I acknowledge my transgressions; and my sin is ever before me. Psalms 51:3.

I've found two. One meets at 9:00 am, and then I go to the other later in the morning. Both under 40 people. But, many are called, FEW are chosen.

For I acknowledge my transgressions; and my sin is ever before me. Psalms 51:3.

I only want one that believes and teaches the whole gospel. Any that believe the gifts are not for today, that God is now on vacation somewhere in the universe now that the Bible has been published, and is just history, not an instruction book on ministering the gifts for the profit of all, I...
