ONLY ONE GOSPEL ? Or Not

Doesn't look like he stuck around to answer to his claim or questions. Paul never contradicted the gospel that Jesus preached, nor started a new one.

For I acknowledge my transgressions; and my sin is ever before me. Psalms 51:3.

I could be wrong, but I agree with most of what (I think) you are saying. Sin is not forgiven if you don't really mean to turn from them and turn them over to Jesus Christ. When repentance is REAL, and there are those who just mouthe the words, but the intent is not there, then Jesus gives us...

Sin, Transgression, Iniquity. All the same?

That sounds like the nondiscernment phrase "sin is sin." The same people say "all sin is willful." But those are both wrong. There are sins unto death, and sins NOT unto death. Do you know the difference? Sins unto death are willful sins/lawlessness. Sins not unto death are unintentional...

For I acknowledge my transgressions; and my sin is ever before me. Psalms 51:3.

Not clear on if you have the gifts of the Spirit, or just admire those who do. Tomorrow some friends and I are headed out on a day trip to a church on the other side of the state to see an evangelist who has the Bible that is seeping supernatural oil. Check on youtube under New Oil #1. There...

For I acknowledge my transgressions; and my sin is ever before me. Psalms 51:3.

How have you evolved since then. What to you believe? Any particular denomination you prefer?

    Give me one good reason.

    Seventh-day Adventist.

For I acknowledge my transgressions; and my sin is ever before me. Psalms 51:3.

That was a trick question to see if they acknowledged Him or not. He didn't tell them NOT to call Him good. He then says, Jesus said to him, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.” Why Him, and not...

    Give me one good reason.

I've talked to JW's at length, not closing the door in their face as some religious folk do, and about Jesus, and they believe most everything I do. I remember growing up, we were taught that Jesus became man, and stayed man; that he was no longer God, so I was amazed when in the epistles the...

    Give me one good reason.

By "religion" I believe you mean denomination, because Hindu is a religion, as is Buddhist, and the Druids. JW, I believe, is a denomination that does believe in Jesus as Son and Savior, even though not God. What I would never say is that JW's are not saved. Only God knows what He will do with...

    Give me one good reason.

Probably the fact that JW's do not believe that Jesus is God. They reduce Jesus to a created being, when in fact, the Word, who Jesus was before becoming man so he could die, had no beginning nor end. (firstborn of all creation, in fact means, ruler over all creation, just as King David was...

For I acknowledge my transgressions; and my sin is ever before me. Psalms 51:3.

The Spirit did a good job of writing scripture to confirm scripture. When the truth of a scripture is twisted, it is glaringly obvious, and has a detrimental effect on the believer of the false doctrine produced.

For I acknowledge my transgressions; and my sin is ever before me. Psalms 51:3.

I'm sick of it. Now I'm like a bull seeing red, full of righteous indignation when someone uses those verses which negate what Christ actually did for us. They depict Christians as full of weakness and despair. I've even seen Spirit-filled preachers in the AOG preach that nonsense! I can relate...

For I acknowledge my transgressions; and my sin is ever before me. Psalms 51:3.

Yes, I find that disturbing, especially those who do study, but don't read in context. Then when they come up with their own doctrine, they won't even allow correction when someone points out the real meaning of the passage they've twisted. Romans 7:14-23 and 1 John 1:8 are the two passages that...

For I acknowledge my transgressions; and my sin is ever before me. Psalms 51:3.

The most common type Christian today are those who are lukewarm, that don't even reason spiritual beliefs as far as what you've presented. They call themselves Christians, like calling themselves an American. If they have a Bible, it has dust on it.

For I acknowledge my transgressions; and my sin is ever before me. Psalms 51:3.

I agree. The whole idea of grace is a license to sin is far worse. Jude 1:4

For I acknowledge my transgressions; and my sin is ever before me. Psalms 51:3.

The core doctrines of Catholicism are fine, but they are weighed down by the additions of so many unscriptural "holy traditions" that are obviously false, causing disillusionment even for the core issues. Sort of like "throwing out the baby with the bath water."

For I acknowledge my transgressions; and my sin is ever before me. Psalms 51:3.

I don't know. But I have known a lot of ex-Catholics that are now either agnostics or atheists, and one is Buddhist.

For I acknowledge my transgressions; and my sin is ever before me. Psalms 51:3.

She said she was ex-Catholic, not ex-Christian. What makes you say that?

For I acknowledge my transgressions; and my sin is ever before me. Psalms 51:3.

Romans 6:2 says we are dead to sin. That is the truth and fact. However, further in the chapter we are commanded that we must also declare it, and reckon ourselves dead to sin. To say otherwise, is of the flesh, not of the Spirit.

For I acknowledge my transgressions; and my sin is ever before me. Psalms 51:3.

People say a lot of stupid things. That is where false doctrines start - people. Personally, to say such things is a slap in the face to what Jesus accomplished, namely defeating Satan in our lives.
