Jesus never said he was God Almighty

Discussing this would be off topic, and I don't have time to get into it, but I DID read your opening sentence, and your beliefs are completely unscriptural, though I can see how you would think what you do. The key rule regarding the manifestation of either our prayer language, or the gift of...

So I know your foundation, are you a Cessationist? What Covenant are you in???

Jesus never said he was God Almighty

Okay, I'm confused. Where in all this thread did I say anything about tongues? You've gone on and on, and its like you are responding to someone else. So what prompted this long response.

Jesus never said he was God Almighty

Do you mean the serpent on the pole? What about it? Long after the snakes were gone, the Jews kept worshiping it, turning it into an idol. It was only to be looked upon, and was a foreshadow of Jesus on the cross. Hezekiah destroyed it, so it couldn't be worshiped any longer. They had a living...

Jesus never said he was God Almighty

I don't know who you are now claiming to call Jesus a demon or false prophet, or why you would even bring up such a heinous claim. Yikes! But just so you know, it was the Trinity who brought Jesus back from the dead. Father: Acts 2:24; Romans 6:4 Son: John 10:17-18; John 2:19 Spirit: 1 Peter...

Jesus never said he was God Almighty

I use NKJV accept when I discern an error. Then I check the verse in question with all translations, including the YLT. I find the NASB to have the best translation of meaning of word for word translating, however, they do not include all the Word of God in their Bible, leaving out crucial...

Jesus never said he was God Almighty

I hope you hold up your words as truth and won't let JWs convince you with any scare tactics of "apostacy" if you find the Scriptures don't agree their twist of meaning. I am Trinitarian. However, I do not for one minute judge those who believe that Jesus is all three in Himself. Jesus is the...

Jesus never said he was God Almighty

The JW's are not alone in slanting scripture to fit their beliefs, rather than letting God's Word mold them to the truth that frees. Many denominations do the same thing with other areas. The most dangerous being on the issue of sin. There are denominations far more dangerous than JWs and are...

Jesus never said he was God Almighty

We disagree on what that passage actually says. I go by the clear Word, and the context of all of Scripture. Your interpretation is totally slanted to be in line with JW doctrine which denies the deity of Jesus. That's the difference.

Jesus never said he was God Almighty

I know. Because that is what JW's have told you. You, like many others, are a denominationalist. I am not. While you are bound to your denomination, I am bound to God.

Jesus never said he was God Almighty

I see by the translation of the Bible you prefer, you are JW. Is that correct? Now I understand what colored glasses you are wearing when reading the scriptures. Your Bible does not have 1 John 5:7 in its entirety that could show you that the Word is God. Not (a) god as your version of John 1:1...

Jesus never said he was God Almighty

Let's try The Living Bible. Even though it is a paraphrase, like a rolling commentary, it has helped me over the years, and I have never found it to contradict translations. 5 Your attitude should be the kind that was shown us by Jesus Christ, 6 who, though he was God, did not demand and cling...

Jesus never said he was God Almighty

Okay, let's start over. How does the Word/God emptying Himself of His power as God to become mere man in order to die to take away our sin, affect us? You seem to be saying we must empty ourselves too, but we are not God. Are you also saying Jesus is not God, just because He emptied Himself to...

Jesus never said he was God Almighty

@BARNEY BRIGHT Don't you understand that scripture when read in context. First throw away your preconceived erroneous thought, and read just what it says.

Jesus never said he was God Almighty

You may say you are done with that subject, but if you really were I wouldn't have discerned it in what you said. And you may still be a bigot. We become what we've been damaged by. You're not healed yet, but by His stripes you can be healed.

Jesus never said he was God Almighty

I see you've been hurt, and are lashing out at bigots. What have they to do with Jesus? Is the real Jesus a bigot? Why try to diminish Him, as if you believe the bigots? Believe the truth, and the truth will make you free.

Jesus never said he was God Almighty

What? Read Philippians 2:5 again, but in context. 5 Have this mind in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: 6 who, existing in the form of God, counted not the being on an equality with God a thing to be grasped, 7 but emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in the...

Jesus never said he was God Almighty

Why do you say it is error. Didn't Jesus say to be perfect, as My Father in heaven is perfect. What do you think He meant? After we are dead??? This should be interesting, seeing as you don't follow the words of Jesus, believing them an impossibility.

Jesus never said he was God Almighty

Dear, that statement is an uninformed statement - like not knowing the rest of the story. First, do you believe that before Jesus was conceived He was the WORD? (John 1:1) In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Do you know that the Word who was God...

Jesus never said he was God Almighty

That is true, even before He emptied Himself to became human. What I could never understand, but it is coming clearer now, is when Jesus came back with Psalm 82:6 to the Pharisees. 6 I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High. I'm not saying we are God, as Jesus is...
