Here is what you are missing. I know this will go over your head, but I'll say this for the benefit of anyone else reading the discussion. In Matthew 24:32-34, Mark 13:28-30 and Luke 21:29-32, the leaves starting to come out on the fig tree and all the other trees indicates that summer is...

You just ignore everything I tell you. There is no basis for thinking that every reference to a fig tree in scripture is a reference to Jerusalem or Israel. Good grief. Unbelievable. Do you just ignore when the parallel passage from Luke 21 references "the fig tree, and all the trees"? What do...

We see the description of the dissolving and burning up of the earth in 2 Peter 3:10-12 and the result is the new heavens and new earth that Peter referenced in 2 Peter 3:13. Scripture says that the meek shall inherit the earth (Matthew 5:5). How can the meek inherit the earth if it is...

The kingdom of God came without observation because it is spiritual and heavenly in nature and "not of this world" (John 18:36). But when Jesus returns, it will be observable in the new heavens and new earth. There is an already, but not yet nature to the kingdom of God that you apparently don't...

All of those come BEFORE Joshua 21. Hello? You can't use those to try to deny what Joshua 21:43-45 indicates. How convenient for you to normally take scripture very literally, but suddenly you aren't doing that anymore when it comes to Joshua 21:43-45. So, you're making Joshua out to be a liar...

Isn't it interesting how the hyper-literal dispensationalists suddenly aren't so hyper-literal anymore when it comes to passages like this?

You are very confused. Scripture repeatedly teaches that all of God's people have been brought together by the blood of Christ as "one body" and "one new man" and "one flock" (or "one fold"). You are trying to divide God's people despite Jesus bringing all of God's people together as one and...

Did you not read Hebrews 11:8-16 as I asked you to do? The land promises have been extended beyond the certain land and the promises are extended to Gentiles as well. You are thinking carnally when you should be thinking spiritually. God has much better things in store for His people than a mere...

You are correct that the Greek word "genea" can refer to an age, but, of course, the word also has other definitions. In Matthew 24:3 when Jesus was asked about the sign of His coming and the end of the age, the Greek word "aion" is translated as "the age". So, if Jesus was referring to an age...

Douggg, why are you not addressing anything I said? Show me a definition of the word generation from any dictionary which says "the human life expectancy". You can't do it because the word generation is never defined that way. You are conflating the word generation with life expectancy...

Never is the word generation related to the human life span expectancy. You are making that up in your imagination just like you make up many things in your imagination that are not taught in scripture. Psalm 90:10 The days of our lives are seventy years; And if by reason of strength they are...

How interesting that you accuse someone else of bringing their own cloud of confusion (I agree that he does) when you bring nothing but a huge cloud of confusion with almost every post you make. You never speak straightforwardly. Why not? Do you not want anyone to understand anything you're...

Why would you think a Bible prophecy like Daniel 12:4 would have anything to do with the increase of mostly useless general knowledge rather than an increase in godly wisdom and spiritual knowledge?

Do you really think that Jesus will come to deliver unbelieving Jews from their enemies, keeping in mind that He called unbelieving Jews like the scribes and Pharisees hypocrites and a brood of vipers who were headed for hell (Matthew 23)? Scripture teaches that Jesus is coming to take vengeance...

Read what I say instead of whatever you imagine me saying. Talk to me instead of your strawman. I never said He comes to the earth. Hello? Paul said we will meet Him "in the air", not on the earth. But, it certainly portrays Jesus as coming down from heaven. Take your preterist glasses off and...

Not true. Abraham, Isaac and Jacob already dwelt in the promised land and realized that God has something far better for them in mind, which He has in mind for all of His people. Read this... Hebrews 11:8 By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive...

You can deny being a spiritual Israelite all you want, but it doesn't change the truth. Romans 9:6 Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel: 7 Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall...

Not just salvation. It says fellow heirs of God's promises. All of them. Scripture teaches that God is not a respecter of persons (does not show favoritism based on ethnicity or nationality) and that there is neither Jew nor Gentile amongst God's people. So, you are contradicting a great deal...

So, technically, you did say "the fig tree generation", but also said a few other words before that. My point was that there is no fig tree generation in the way you understand that. The parable of the fig tree in Matthew 24:32 relates directly to the nearness of Christ's return and has nothing...
