    Can Seals Be Broken?

The information dispensed in Eph 1:13-14 isn't for everybody. It's applicable to a very narrow segment of the population. To begin with, the epistle to the Ephesians was written not to the world; but to a Christian church. †. Eph 1:1a . .To the saints who are at Ephesus, But it gets even...

    Gen 17:9b-17

†. Gen 17:9b . . you and your offspring to come throughout the ages shall keep My covenant. The word "keep" is from shamar (shaw-mar') which means, properly: to hedge about (as with thorns), i.e. guard, to protect, attend to. The general meaning in this particular instance is: to preserve. †...

What will you do when you see Jesus?

I'm not sure if you're talking about a crowded venue like when people view the Pope in Ste Peter's square or a private one-on-one interview. In the latter situation; I suppose the first thing I'd do is introduce myself and say hello. Personally, I suspect that all new arrivals are shuttled off...

    Can Seals Be Broken?

Some of the folk hereabouts are apparently of the opinion that the Bible's God has a problem with integrity. Not me. I believe that God's pledge, like His word, is His bond; viz: I have every right to detain God's Spirit in custody until God makes good on His promise to pull me through to...

    Can Seals Be Broken?

†. Eph 1:13-14 . . In him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession What that...

    The Doctrine of Salvation

Had you read the entire post instead of stopping with the first sentence, you would have readily seen that my doctrine of salvation gives people something positive to look forward to; unlike doctrines that leave people wondering what to expect. Cliff /

    The Doctrine of Salvation

The Bible's plan of salvation is so well underwritten, that I can stand up here on the world wide web and testify, in all sincerity and a good conscience, that I am going to heaven and not even God can stop me now. How is that possible? It's possible because my safety is based upon...

    The Doctrine of Salvation

Then you sincerely believe that your interpretation of the Bible's doctrine of salvation speaks for God ex cathedra; viz: infallibly? Do you really think it beyond possibility that your view of the Bible's doctrine of salvation might have a few things wrong with it? BTW: this area of the site...

    Gen 17:1-5

Thirteen years go by since Ishmael's birth; enough time for Abram to easily forget God's covenanted promises. Abram was prospering financially, Ishmael was growing into young manhood, the land was at peace, and quite possibly Abram and Sarai had by now given up all hope of ever having any...

    Freedom To Sin?

Your interpretation of the Lord's statements at John 10:27-29 casts a vote of no-confidence in his competence as a good shepherd. By doing so; you are insinuating that God's son is a person of questionable integrity who can't be trusted to tell the truth. The Lord testifies that his sheep shall...

    The Doctrine of Salvation

The epistle to the Romans was written not to people in danger of going to hell; but rather, to Christians who were already members of God's family. †. Rom 1:7 . .To all who are beloved of God in Rome, called as saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. In...

    Gen 16:13-16

†. Gen 16:13a . . And she called Yhvh who spoke to her: You Are El roi The author of Genesis was privy to the identity of the celestial being speaking with Hagar but she wasn't, and that's why she gave him a name of her own. But I can't be certain what it is because there seems no consensus...

    The Doctrine of Salvation

No doubt you sincerely believed yourself speaking for God ex cathedra when you composed that statement. †. Mrk 16:15. . Go into all the world and preach the good news to everyone, everywhere. Freedom To Sin?

. I'm going to plug that definition into a few key verses so you can see for yourself just how ridiculous a theory it really is. †. John 3:16 . . For God so loved the world that He donated His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have sanctifying grace. †...

    Gen 16:9-12

†. Gen 16:9 . . And the angel of the Lord said to her: Go back to your mistress, and submit to her harsh treatment. That was no doubt the last thing Ms. Hagar wanted to hear from anybody; let alone a celestial being. But the Lord had plans for Hagar's baby about which she was unaware up to this...

    The Doctrine of Salvation

. Whatever somebody's doctrine of salvation entails; it had better be cause for celebration or I'm not listening. †. Luke 2:10 . . I bring you good news of great joy which will be to all people. Gen 16:4-8

†. Gen 16:4 . . He cohabited with Hagar and she conceived; and when she saw that she had conceived, her mistress became lower in her esteem. It would seem that where before Hagar knew her place and was humble and self effacing around Sarai, she now regarded her mistress as somewhat less of a...
