    Exploring Trinitarian Logic

To answer this question, begin by identifying who is called these things, then go from there.

What a pathetic way to try to avoid the question! Wrong questions?! Try answering it.

Scripture states only the father is God. I have faith in that. Why don’t you?

    Exploring Trinitarian Logic

Trinitarians do the twisting. Scripture. Jesus is the son of God. Trinitarian. If you rearrange the words and ignore the pesky OF, it says Jesus is God the son. Why can’t you understand that simple point?

What verses say Jesus is named these things: Wonderful Counselor? Mighty God? Everlasting Father? Prince of Peace? I'll wait.

Is is easy to grasp but impossible to reach when the operative word is OF. Prepositions (OF) are not verbs (IS). Yes, the word IS God but Jesus is NOT. Jesus is OF God - lamb, son, servant, priest, apostle, word and chosen. My turn. Scripture says: only the father is God. true worshippers...

    Exploring Trinitarian Logic

Great, great point! To answer this question means admitting the trinity doctrine evolved over time. This conflicts with their basic hypothesis that it was understood from Genesis 1:1 all the way to through Apostolic writings uninterrupted until the Nicene Creed formalized what everyone already...

Agreed. But Jesus is not the word OR God according to John’s Gospel.

    Exploring Trinitarian Logic

Just a poetic way of saying God fulfilled the prophecy affirmed in John 1:45 of putting his words in the mouth of one of the people of Israel in Deut 18:15-18. Moses continued, “The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your fellow Israelites. You must listen to him...

    Exploring Trinitarian Logic

The Bible does not say that God became flesh because that never happened. Did you re-read Deut 18:15-18, which was affirmed in John 1:45? If the trinitarian take is correct, why does it contradict John's purpose statement of 20:31?

Thank you. Words ain’t people but an attribute of a person.

    Exploring Trinitarian Logic

Yes it does. Words are not persons. That’s why Scrioture says the Word (if God) was made flesh, meaning put in his mouth as Deut 18:15-18.

    Jesus in the burnt offering

Only son and and only begotten son are NOT synonymous! It is understood that Isaac is Abraham's only legal son. The KJV adds to God's word what is not there. No need to be schizo, right @APAK? Simple fact: Isaac is NOT Abraham's only begotten son. Isaac is Abraham's son of promise, his legal...

    Jesus in the burnt offering

Agreed. Except the Bible is not a dictionary defining words. Why can’t there be an imperfect analogy between Isaac and Jesus? Most analogies break down at some point in the analysis. For instance, who is Ismael’s counterpart to Jesus?

    Jesus in the burnt offering

You must be relying on a bad translation. It doesn’t happen to have “James” in the title, does it? Son of promise, meaning legal son. Only begotten son. Not the same.
