    Exploring Trinitarian Logic

Being and person are synonyms. Trinitarian logic is to assert God is a 3-person person.

    Exploring Trinitarian Logic

I confess; I found this post difficult to understand even after reading it a couple of times. The Bible is a highly figurative book and it takes discernment to know what to take literally. The ancients thought and wrote much more figuratively than we do today. Many accusations of Biblical error...

    The Best Revenge?

It’s best to have enough of God’s grace to not take revenge. Rather move on. Love and pray for your enemies, then move on with the fruit of the Spirit. Live joyfully. Acting happy in their presence will be like heaping burning hot coals on their head. Not involving revenge, there was a...

Did ANYONE In Scripture (Including Jesus), Claim Jesus IS God?

A person is a whole. Can’t compare equally to attributes of a person, which is much more than the magic, Pagan 3.

Did ANYONE In Scripture (Including Jesus), Claim Jesus IS God?

Anything goes when one abdicates reason and embraces contradiction. The most basic contradiction of the man-is-god thesis is this: The term “God” refers to a plurality of persons, a committee of 3, if you will. One person, Jesus is “fully” God. Rationalizations to make Jesus God do not...

Did ANYONE In Scripture (Including Jesus), Claim Jesus IS God?

See Deut 18:15-18. The logos of YHWH, his detailed plan unfolded in Luke 2 and Matthew 2.

Did ANYONE In Scripture (Including Jesus), Claim Jesus IS God?

My point is logic works. Contradictions do not exist in reality. Either Jesus is a man as the Bible explicitly teaches repeatedly or the Bible is wrong. If the Bible is wrong, there is still no reason to suppose Jesus is God incarnate.

Did ANYONE In Scripture (Including Jesus), Claim Jesus IS God?

Yet, Jesus has never been called the everlasting father. So, how do you square that?

Did ANYONE In Scripture (Including Jesus), Claim Jesus IS God?

Logic being valid is not limited to carnal minds of this world.

Did ANYONE In Scripture (Including Jesus), Claim Jesus IS God?

I meant a simple and general truth. There have been times in my life when I tried to help students understand the answer to a difficult math problem. While I too was a student, I got the answer correct and they either got it wrong or could not find any solution. There were times when they...

Did ANYONE In Scripture (Including Jesus), Claim Jesus IS God?

I already answered your question many times. An Appeal to Ignorance does not help your cause. In the Cultural Bible NSRV, it points out that common hyperbolic tropes now associated exclusively with Jesus were not the case in ancient times. For instance, ‘lord of lords and kings of kings’...

Did ANYONE In Scripture (Including Jesus), Claim Jesus IS God?

Another Strawman in the OP question is to falsely equate random claims to an authoritative reference. In any book, we might know what the characters say and even think. This is not authoritative. The narrative is what is authoritative. No where in the narrative of God’s word does the author...

Did ANYONE In Scripture (Including Jesus), Claim Jesus IS God?

I already answered that, the child that IS. Born at the time of Isaiah’s writing 500BC. Just because this child is not named in Scripture does not mean it must be Jesus - who is also not named in Isaiah.

Subordinating your lesser understanding to one with great understanding is logical.

Did ANYONE In Scripture (Including Jesus), Claim Jesus IS God?

Nonsense! Nothing from the Spirit of God demands we abdicate logic. Nothing.

No! I will not respond further to what I already addressed! It is you who have decided to disengage by playing this game of doing laps on ground already covered. If you don’t answer my questions from post#506 unconditionally, we’re done.

Did ANYONE In Scripture (Including Jesus), Claim Jesus IS God?

Trinitarianism requires abdicating logic. Not a solid foundation to built doctrine. Converse. Scripture teaches Jesus is the son of God (not God the son). That’s good enough for me. Why is it not good enough for them? Why do they have to go beyond what Scripture teaches? And why do they have...

Did ANYONE In Scripture (Including Jesus), Claim Jesus IS God?

I deny any religious precept contrary to Scripture. That’s where it begins and ends. Nothing is Scripture states anything like God incarnated as a man. Of course, if you want to read into Scripture then anything goes. Let me ask you this; what Scripture verse says it is important to believe...

Did ANYONE In Scripture (Including Jesus), Claim Jesus IS God?

No one raises themselves from the dead, ‘mere’ or otherwise. Supposing so is a violation of the law of identity.
