Colossians. Right. Chapter 2 and forward tell of how we're supposed to act/behave. It explains how Jesus is Lord. Problem is: Some want Jesus as Savior but not as Lord. Colossians 3:1-4 Verse 1: It tells us TO SEEK (present tense...keep seeking) things from above. We never stop seeking...

I've noticed that Calvinists are always talking about grace. And at the same time always talking about hell. It's interesting. You say God chose who will be saved. Where in the NT does it state this? I haven't found it yet. You say all others do not receive His mercy. So then HOW is God...

What a dangerous teaching! God DOES NOT remove new life from a child of His. It's the person that removes himself from God. We're admonished to HOLD FAST to our faith... We're admonished NOT TO FALL AWAY.... Happy to go through verses with you..... Besides the fact that OSAS was NEVER taught...

Hi GP,,,, just going through quick. I didn't even read all of the above..... You actually are NOT wrong. Our behavior on this earth will be judged. People that believe they're saved NO MATTER what their behavior is are not only ignoring and throwing out a lot of scripture...but they are also...

Too much in a hurry.... what do you mean? EVERYBODY is faking being a Christian?? EVERYBODY is faking doing good works? YOU are doing a good work by being on this forum! Later....

Must leave after this... Love....I think I might have stated this? Love is in everything Jesus told us to do. Love covers a multitude of sin. Faith and hope will disappear, but love remains forever. Our love for God is what enables us. I never said we're under the Law. The law of Moses is...

Agreed. The NT teaches that we are baptized for the forgiveness of sin. Acts 2:38 Acts 22:16 Colossians 2:12-13 Titus 3:5 I'm sure there's more. Agreed. You're talking about feigning good works. (easier to reply since my post is just above this time) We could make believe with others...

Which one commandment did Jesus give? Some rules were from Moses...agreed. Although this will not be accepted for fundamental Christians, it's textually correct. It's also true that we're not under the Law. You captialized Law. We are not under the Law of Moses,,,, but we ARE under the law...

Just like Paul.... this cat can be all things to all people!

Hate to say this, but: Guns don't kill people.... People kill people. Criminals in Europe are able to get guns... it's the innocent citizen that does not have access to a gun. IF guns ever become illegal in the US...only criminals will have them and everyone else will be at their mercy. Some...

Signing off. Have a question for you since you're an expert at English. Is COMPANY a singular word or a plural word? Is CORPORATION a singular word or a plural word? Is GROUP a singular word or a plural word? So if Paul is speaking of a CORPORATION would he use a singular word or a plural...

Here in Italy, and really all of Europe (know some in other countries) cannot understand why these school shootings. Our teens must be in dire trouble and apparently there's no safety net. I agree with @Rockerduck @Taken @Debp and others on here. It's unbelievable unless we put satan into the...

OK

Vessels of wrath were also the Israelites that formed and worshipped the golden calf in the wilderness. God had great patience with them. God can decide to whom He will give mercy and to whom He will not. Nothing to do with individual salvation. Also, a lot of this goes back to the OT, which...

Oh. So you're circumcised? (for religious reasons). You were betrothed for a year before marrying your wife? When your child acted up, you brought him to the edge of town so the neighbors could stone him to death? You worship on Saturday and do no gardening, shopping, cooking, or anything else...

In Ephesians 2:8-9 all 3 are gifts: GRACE FAITH SALVATION And, in that order. Everything we get from God is a gift...this is what grace is. I'm not sure what you mean by "knowing Him". Or that He's "too good to know". Of course God wants us to know Him... Isn't this why He revealed Himself...
