My point very simply is that I do not pretend to understand the whole of what is written in the scriptures. Many other people like me do not. Are we lost because we do not? Will God give each of us a theology test to determine our suitability to be always with Him? I believe He is more...

That is what I thought you meant, but I wanted to be certain. I wish people would use old fashioned expressions such as..."One must draw a line" to be clear, but I know that some modern era people might be confused by that that usage. It does work both ways. That is to say, what the one side...

Yes, David repented, but did not Achan want to repent when caught with forbidden silver and the wedge of gold? "And Achan answered Joshua, and said, Indeed I have sinned against the LORD God of Israel, and thus and thus have I done:" Joshua 7:20 David's sins were put away. Why not Achan's...

I believe we must agree with God AND that we must strive to do things His Way if we really love Him. Must we not then also agree with God's Word? What however is God's Word? There are definite differences in belief in what and what is not God's Word. When two or more men discuss as what the...

Lots of people as you know do speak to a person's salvation as if they understood perfectly God's criteria. Do people understand why David, guilty of adultery and murder, either one punishable by death according the letter of the law God gave to Moses, was shown mercy? You probably know the...

With all of the details you possess... if they are not used by you correctly in the eyes of God how important ultimately are they? What good are words and details even from the scriptures for anyone who does not understand them? Will not God give any needed understanding to a heart that is...

Thank you for your effort to explain the question. I read most of the first part of your post and could not disagree on some essential conclusions especially since much is based on scripture, I Cor chapter 13 in particular. But..., I could not read all that you posted thing because of my...

We are speaking of the same thing, communication! What I am to God matters. I would like to easily be able to communicate that to other people who might even agree with me...if they could understand my meanings. Do we understand theirs? If the Holy Spirit is working in both of us and we are...

The ministers in so many places never knew, or have forgotten, or purposely neglect, to work toward the purposes Apostle Paul stated here: "For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:" Eph 4:12 Their essential purpose should be to...

The important thing for a believer is, I believe, to continue to surrender until every single thing that separates him from God, or that could separate him from God, is overcome, we have a problem that must be dealt with... The Holy Spirit in us is able to do this. I cannot emphasize too much...

I have seen such threads, but I have never really seen a clear difference in the scriptures between faith and belief. I have seen people divide them in their posts here. Perhaps a person who 'believes' there is such a difference will respond here and explain the difference hopefully using the...

Continuing to pray for both you and her!

In the flesh before meeting Jesus all of us formed bad habits. When we did meet Jesus taking hold of what he brought our sins were gone, but not so those bad habits [the ways of men] which when followed lead a person back to the same old besetting sins. The bad habits have to be overcome as well...

Presumed or believed ATs [Absolute Truths] can be stumbling blocks hindering or stifling growth. Did not Jesus grow? "And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man." Luke 2:52

Yes, every believer needs to be growing for as long as he has time. In this way, the new man is unlike the old man. The old man is already dead or dying. We want to kill him off sooner rather than later. The new man must continue to grow. The stand still is to stagnate, which is to die! My flesh...

Yes, all of that and for me or for others today? What happens when people have done with their Bible or even with Jesus what the Israelites did with that brass snake on a pole? Has anyone today done that? Is anyone today doing that?

@Angelina Joining you here in prayer!

I understand and pretty much agree with what you have written. The problem as always is in communication. Too many people do not read the Bible at all. Too many who do read the Bible unable or unwilling to move outside what they already believe, be it right or wrong. However, if a person...

I am not without hope and faith in God my friend. I was only expressing here what a few others on this forum seem to believe about me simply because I have never yielded on a few doctrines which according to them I must change in order to be saved at all. Fortunately, while the moderators may...
