    Yes, Jesus. Good answer.

    ON THE FENCE ABOUT REPENTANCE?

Rabbit hole, JBF. I've thought about this stuff probably more thoroughly and intently than anything else I've studied and, for me, It led to more uncertainty, the deeper I dug. Many Theologians have driven themselves to skepticism dwelling upon this point. Holy ground; please be careful to...

And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. (Revelation 13:8) How do you think OT believers were saved?

Is knowing that we don't always keep them ever an excuse for not keeping them? How often is it okay not to keep them? How often does God want us to sin? How often is okay with Him? What is the ideal or goal for Christian conduct? How many words that proceed from the mouth of God is it okay to...

Yes, quoting Scripture is really obnoxious, eh?

If You Believe Your Denomination Is...

We wouldn't want a case of religious liberty to break out, would we?

Pro 24:16 KJV For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief.

    Where does the Bible say...

It's a good verse to take out of context, especially if you're an opponent of religious liberty, since an examination of the verses before and after clearly reveal it to be a passage about civil authorities--not church order and discipline.

If You Believe Your Denomination Is...

What happened to "Thank you for your honesty?" I guess you're taking that back, eh? Just looking for some older stuff to cut up, maybe?

    ON THE FENCE ABOUT REPENTANCE?

He would never have been able to bear the weight of the sin of the World on human power alone. Rabbit hole, JBF. Sophisticated theories based on mounds of disjointed prooftexts will never suffice to plumb the depths of the Almighty. Job 11 7Canst thou by searching find out God? canst thou find...

It's all just amusing and disgusting for you, eh? I hope we become fit enough for discussion with someone, if we're as deceived as you say we are.

    Where does the Bible say...

    Unintelligible

If You Believe Your Denomination Is...

Aw, you missed the "Bye now" part.

If You Believe Your Denomination Is...

I'm not familiar with every aspect of discipline and order in my church. So sue me. I know it's all based on maintaining the authority of God's law and reclaiming the erring ones. You are twisting my words, by the way. Doubtless, you'll deny this and continue to try to depict me as an evader.

If You Believe Your Denomination Is...

    Assume what you will.

If You Believe Your Denomination Is...

No, I said that only the clergy is disciplined by the orthodoxy, and then only in a limited smaller group of the most important beliefs. Sorry if I expressed myself poorly.
  17. BarneyFife

    Where does the Bible say...

    More confusion. Misapplied.
  18. BarneyFife

If You Believe Your Denomination Is...

No. How do you manage to twist things so wildly? Church leaders handle clergy affairs and church members handle church member affairs. It is beautifully simple.

    SinSinSin

Yes. They can discontinue abiding in Christ and lose their assurance of salvation. Bestowing and revoking salvation itself is God's business on His timetable.
