Jesus Christ Gave America His Final Response To Rejecting HIM!

I believe that I do understand. What is happening to Christians in Islamic countries relates to the spiritual beheading as does, I believe, the beheading of John the Baptist. Some people lose their heads [not physically... but perhaps eventually that as well] by giving in to pressure...

    Denmark in memory

No, she was from my generation. She was surprised to hear my story. The problems with Germany of course were in her country's history but before the time of her personal memories. She posted here on this forum quite a bit, but the last time was in 2018. She is a great sister in the Lord, but too...

    Denmark in memory

@McFearless [Your profile page would not accept such a long post... so I have posted it here] While a student in West Berlin for the school year 1969-1970, a German friend asked me to go with him to Denmark in his little sports car, I did. We drove straight to Copenhagen. Being thirsty shortly...

Jesus Christ Gave America His Final Response To Rejecting HIM!

Cutting off your head will mean little ultimately if Jesus is your real Head! "And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all." Eph 1:22-23 For the husband is the head of the...

Yes, my old pastor used to tell stories from that book. I eventually I had to buy it in order to able to read it for myself. I haven't opened it in years. I need to take myself back to it again.

I remember that show. Dr. Ducky Mallard [David McCallum], the M.E. from the more current NCIS co-starred with Robert Vaughn in Man from U.N.C.L.E. I watched a lot of TV in those days. More recently NCIS is one of the few I have watched.

    Just curious....

In my first memory in California, we lived in Watsonville at Wall Street Court. It was a tiny one room apartment like dwelling sandwiched between similar dwellings in the same long shallow building. The tiny apartments did not have back doors. The front door opened onto a narrow dirt area which...

    Just curious....

My very earliest memory was in the only home I shared with father in his lifetime. My older brother and I were left with my maternal grandmother in our home. It was in Oklahoma City the only place my father ever lived excepting his military service time. Grandma was busy with something...

    Just curious....

Ha... perhaps not such a strange thing. Many years ago when I lived in Milpitas, CA and working Sunnyvale [both near San Jose], I would commute to work each morning on a city bus. I was still tired and found it easy to sleep during bus ride. The bus stopped frequently along the way, and I...

    Just curious....

I watched an old Alfred Hitchcock movie, Vertigo, a few days ago... not for the story but for the background scenes in San Juan Bautista CA where I lived from the 1st grade [1949] through high school graduation [1961]. The movie was made in 1958 when I was a sophomore in high school. I used to...

I remember when my wife and I were new to walking with God. We went to visit one of my very old friends and his wife. I knew him long before I met my wife and he helped me a lot in school. Naively I expected to see him and his wife come soon into the fold with God as well. Rather he went from...

Isaiah 48.10: "I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction".

"But who may abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appeareth? for he is like a refiner's fire, and like fullers' soap: And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the...

Remember my friend that anything we have that is "good" is God or is of God! "And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God." Mark 10:18 In the beginning all that God made was "very good". "And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold...

Isaiah 48.10: "I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction".

I am no silver smith, but consider the processing of silver to make it pure: "When heat is applied, all the impurities embedded in the silver float to the top where it is skimmed off. These impurities, called dross, must be removed for the silver to be used properly. Every time the silver is...

    Alex Jones is found guilty

Perhaps you are able to do all of those things. I do not have the ability to do that any more. I cannot do rocket science and I cannot do many thing swith my mind as I once did. That is one of the things that comes with age... at least to me. When I read a lengthy post on this forum on...

Don’t fool yourself into believing that one party or ideology represents Jesus more than another.

Yes, I see your list. As to the corrective, determining which criminals are heinous would be the problem, wouldn't it?

Aye none of us are God. But, then regeneration is also the right word. However a real surrender is likely what is needed. A person must admit to his own weakness, his own frailty, I guess to do that.

I am just a tired old man today. Being tired is tiresome but it comes with the territory. I know there are worse things as you are well able to confirm. I do wonder sometimes what it would take to change the mind and ways of some of those like the one you just mentioned.
