God's Word does ""not"" teach that baptism is essential for salvation.

Fair enough. Just as long as everybody is being held to the same standards here.

Perhaps - depending on the severity of their condition. However - they don't have full use of their faculties. There are MANY conditions that rob people of the full use of their faculties. A person cannot be held fully accountable unless they have full use. John 9:41 Jesus said to them, “If...

God's Word does ""not"" teach that baptism is essential for salvation.

In other words - you CAN'T answer the question. That's pretty much what I thought. Thank you for revealing your false teaching.

God's Word does ""not"" teach that baptism is essential for salvation.

But nobody else is "arrogant" or "condescending" when they attack MY beliefs? Interesting. Anyway - I know exactly what he means, as I have read the posts in this thread. I simply pointed to the fact that it is BECAUSE of what Jesus did that we can be regenerated by Baptism.

God's Word does ""not"" teach that baptism is essential for salvation.

WRONG. I pointed to the Covenant under the Law in the OT. 8-day-old babies entered into the Covenant with God through CIRCUMCISION. HOW can a baby enter a Covenant in the OT - but NOT the NT? Can you at least answer that question without dancing around it?

God's Word does ""not"" teach that baptism is essential for salvation.

You DODGED the question, Einstein., Here it is again: So, God is a LIAR who accepted 8-day-old BABIES into the Covenant in the OT based on the faith of their parents - but He doesn't do the same for the babies receiving the Circumcision of Christ? THAT'S your position?? I ALSO asked you the...

God's Word does ""not"" teach that baptism is essential for salvation.

I don't know who's been telling you that. Baptism isn't a "guarantee" that you'll go to Heaven or remain in God's grace. Why would you make such a ridiculous claim?

God's Word does ""not"" teach that baptism is essential for salvation.

Oh, I get it now. So, God is a LIAR who accepted 8-day-old BABIES into the Covenant in the OT based on the faith of their parents - but He doesn't do the same for the babies receiving the Circumcision of Christ? THAT'S your position?? A "Covenant" by definition is a BINDING AGREEMENT. HOW can...

God's Word does ""not"" teach that baptism is essential for salvation.

Yup. Adults need to repent because they SIN. Babies don't. It's NOT that hard to figure out, son . . . PS - Answer me this: Does a severely mentally-challenged person need to "repent" when they are Baptized? CAN such a person repent? DOES such a person even sin without the full use of their...

God's Word does ""not"" teach that baptism is essential for salvation.

That's an incredibly ignorant statement, given the overwhelming Scriptural support for the regenerative healing of Baptism. It is BECAUSE of the fact that He died to pay for our sins that Baptism has been made available to us. Without His death and resurrection, Baptism would be nothing more...

Invitation To Eat The Bread Of Life

And your verbose rants don't detract from the fact that YOU have accused our Lord Jesus of lying. You see, my lost friend - He guaranteed that His Church wouldn't succumb to evil (Matt. 16:18) - even though YOU claim it did. As the Holy Spirit warned through Paul - YOU have been deceived into...

Invitation To Eat The Bread Of Life

And once again - if YOU feel comfortable accusing our Lord Jesus Christ of being a Liar - be my guest. I wouldn't DARE call Him that. YOUR view that His Church became the tool of Satan - something He guaranteed would NEVER happen - is tantamount to calling Him a liar. Good luck with that . . .

God's Word does ""not"" teach that baptism is essential for salvation.

You KNOW the point. you're just pretending that the Bible doesn't maker the case CLEARLY that Baptism is necessary for salvation (Ezek. 36:25-28, Matt. 28:19, John 3:5, Mark 16:16, Acts 2:37-38, Acts 10:48, Acts 19:1-7, Acts 22:16, Rom. 6: 3-4, Gal. 3:27, Col. 2:11-12, Eph. 4:5, Tit. 3:4-8, 1...

God's Word does ""not"" teach that baptism is essential for salvation.

You've already been corrected on this point - but you keep pretending that it hasn't been addressed. The last time was in post #60, when I posted the following: Nope. That's why I warned you to NEVER base your doctrines on the exception. God knows the heart - and THAT'S why the Thief on the...

God's Word does ""not"" teach that baptism is essential for salvation.

No - quoting Scripture (Like I did) is fine. Not understanding it - like YOU don't is the problem. Scripture plainly states - repeatedly - that Baptism of Water and the Spirit is when we are born again (John 3:5, Acts 2:38-39, 1 Pet. 3:21). Adults need to repent first. Babies don't (Matt...

    Where does the Bible say...

John 5:39 You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is they that bear witness about me Nowhere does this verse even come CLOSE to stating that Scripture is our "SOLE" Authority. Jesus is chastising the Pharisees because they were going by the letter...

Invitation To Eat The Bread Of Life

More of your patented ignorance. Read your Bible in CONTEXT, dude . . . Matt. 7:19 states plainly: "Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire." Ummmmmm, this verse points to individuals within His Church - NOT to His Church at large. On the contrary - Jesus...

God's Word does ""not"" teach that baptism is essential for salvation.

Per YOUR favorite verse - Baptism is NEW LIFE in the Spirit. Acts 2:38 And Peter said to them, “Repent and BE BAPTIZED every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. We die and are buried to our OLD SELF - and we...

    Nope. See post #21.

    Where does the Bible say...

That verse doesn't make this claim. In case you don't understand - the "Scriptura" part of Sola Scriptura means the WRITTEN Word. Isaiah 8:20 makes NO mention of the written Word of God - NOR does it say that it is our SOLE Authority. This would make God a hypocrite for insisting that His...
