And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto...

Some people call it progressive revelation. I have many more things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. (John 16:12)

A Higher Experience We need constantly a fresh revelation of Christ, a daily experience that harmonizes with His teachings. High and holy attainments are within our reach. Continual progress in knowledge and virtue is God's purpose for us. His law is the echo of His own voice, giving...

I love it!!!

Yay! Whatever it takes.

I'm in total agreement with this.

"This do in remembrance of me" is sophistry?

I appreciate your effort, but it just comes across as verbose, disjointed sophistry. Could be right, could be wrong. The plain, simple reading of Scripture is all I feel is safe.

No, as I said to another poster in this thread, mental gymnastics is not my thing. I prefer simple, plain reading to sophistry.

Sorry, but I've heard this interpretation before and I remain unconvinced. Mental gymnastics is not my thing. I prefer simple, plain reading to sophistry.

Avoiding nonsense, yeah.

Mine is set up to be read in one year, but it's only about 80 hours, so it could easily be done in a couple of months. Many scholars believe Job was written by Moses before he wrote the Torah.

No, This is moot:

I have a chronological Audible Bible (NLT). I wish I had the self-discipline to sit down and listen to it all. I have tons of free time on my hands. I wish it was NKJV or even NIV.

Who said He did? No, it is not so. Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens; (Hebrews 8:1) So He can't multitask?

Only in my heart. Not physically. You're slowly erecting a straw man here. And no one is falling for it. See Post# 384 No, He wasn't, that is James 2:10. Do you think at all before you post?

Isn't Christ depicted all throughout the book of Hebrews as our true High Priest?

Isn't The Lord's Supper a memorial, and not a vehicle of grace? Isn't this very clear in Scripture?

If I agree to follow Christ and have nothing to offer Him, how is it glory to me? And if I choose to rescind the agreement, how is it Glory to me? If my frame is but dust, what glory have I, ever? And so how can I ever rob God of His glory?

How does agreement = Glory?
