Totally illogical. You flipped statistical probability from how you feel. Its not that your emotion makes it true, it’s that being a contradiction, one of the premises cannot (more than may not) be true.

Untrue. It’s just that inerrancy is hubris and an unnecessary burden to put on manmade work.

I see these 2 points conversely related. With Trump's repeal of the Johnson Amendment, I expected churches to weigh in on the political issues of the day. They failed. Not that this has to become their exclusive emphasis but I challenge anyone with faith to practically apply it to the issues of...

Wasn't this foretold in Revelation, that there will be a great falling away?

A couple of years ago, I read that in the UK about 60 churches per year are converting to mosques.

It's sad. About a year ago my church had a sermon series on making room in your life for God. One week this included getting rid of relationships that go against God's will, including family. It's sad, yes, but also necessry to grow closer to God. 14 Stay away from people who are not followers...

Proof that feminists put the burden of leadership down even though the envy the respect that men get is seen in the mantra, "you need to respect women." Feminists don't want to earn respect as they never stop claiming is the eternal burden on men. When it comes to a feminist, her sense of...

Yikes! Jesus and his father might not appreciate that statement. Truth is, we can trust a lot of things, including logic, people will let you down, not even the image in the mirror is perfect and right all the time, Trump won the 2020 election, Epstein did not kill himself, global warming is a...

Did you read the reason I posted from NSRV Cultural Bible?

Appeal to Emotion. Wanting something to be true does not make it true. Seems this statement of yours reinforces IDOLATRY you have made of a manmade compilation of writings. Sure, the writings and the compilation may have been "inspired" but to invest "inerrancy" is unnecessary. Do you believe...

A great example that came to mind last night is the Sabbath. One verse says anyone who works should be put to death. Yet, Jesus worked on the Sabbath and justifies it and said he did not come to abolish the law.

This is one of the wisest posts of all time. A great weight was lifted from me when a sermon stated this. It's a test of humility that most fail. We don't rely on book knowledge but faith and lived experience.

Well said.

Your story parallels mine very closely. I have 2 younger sisters that have not talked to me in over 15 years. The younger sister is a self-proclaimed witch, who believes she communes with the dead. I now believe she is interacting with demons and has unleashed them, perhaps unwittingly, into my...

Can you clarify that? If you believe there is an actual (not merely apparent) contradiction in the Bible, please present it. I’m sure it will be addressed by many very knowledgeable on the topic.

I don’t think so. My comment was regarding the one you replied to. I think we’re on the same page on this one.

Wow! I can only imagine how difficult that was. How is your relationship with your sister now? Has she repented?

Welcome to the forum. Both of these points are worthy of being their own thread. Can you start threads n these points yet? If not, I can start these threads on your behalf.

Great vid on inequality feminists want. They claim "prison is not working for women" to rationalize putting women in prison less. How come the focus is on women and not men? Preferred sexism. A female guard slept with a prisoner, became pregnant and smuggled drugs into prison. But because she...

That you feel it necessary to write this reveals how totally dehumanizing the evil ideology of feminism is. God made man to be masculine and woman to be feminine. Yin to Yang. This is reality. What is this notion of feeling bad for recognizing the Creation by the Creator? It is only after a...
