I have never or written or had anyone else write that I was. So why would you ask? I am not God although, I certainly and striving to be what He wants me to be. Through His power being is like Him is a possibility, is it not? "Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what...

@robert derrick I believe that this would be true only if what we are quoting is quickened in us by the Spirit of God. When Satan challenged Jesus he quoted the 91st psalm [91:11]while Jesus quoted Deuteronomy 6 [6:16]. Satan words were scripture, but the were dead words. Jesus' words were...

Am I? You do not know what I believe, but I will try to explain. What it says is: "Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth." Is the Scripture equal to the Word of God? I believe the former alone is the dead body of Jesus, effectively then a dead letter [ink (from dead petroleum] on...

Then what is this saying? "...and the Word was God." John 1:1 What is the Word of God if not the words which God speaks?

You are a welcome addition here always!

There is a better way, but many men who proclaim their Christianity fill me with doubts about what it is that they have found and which way is it that they are traveling when I see what I see and hear what I hear. I know much about my own fallible old man which warns me that most other...

Yes, men using the logic and conclusions of men, some times well educated men, instead listening to the voice of God! We can spend a whole lot of time reading the opinions of men here on Covid-19 and the references to which they have provided links, or we can rather use most, or all, of that...

There are those who live by faith and then there are also those who support their ATs [Absolute Truths]. The differences in ATs probably is a major reason why there are seeming thousands of different Christian church groups instead on only One among the organizations of men. I believe in ATs...

On several things you have written I have been with you... this one, no. Jesus was speaking of the heart of man and the heart of God, as I see it. Man has always been beastly since he began to disobey God. Only when and if he has completely overcome the ways of the flesh is it no long so. God...

Be very careful on presuming that what seems true and obvious to you must also true and obvious to everyone else. Was Solomon inspired by God to write these words? "Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the LORD pondereth the hearts." Prov 21:2

Why did you start out with the words, 'no sir', and then effectively go on to agree with the essence of my statement?

My friend was a handful to put it mildly. He never completely let go of his "I know this better than anyone else" attitude. That went for Bible knowledge as well as tree expertise. After my retirement in 2000 while I was still able enough I used to help him once in a while by hauling tree limbs...

There may have been another one, but Corrie Ten Boom was not a Jew. Rather she and her family were Christians who risked their own lives to save Jews fleeing from the Nazis. Finally they were caught and when the Allied armies were retaking the Netherlands, the German transferred local prisoners...

Are you back among us again? Welcome back sister!

"But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God." I Cor 11:3

The word, catholic, simply means universal. The one or universal faith to be taught is the one that is presented throughout the written Bible, but is only to be discerned by the Holy Spirit. This is why anyone who is ultimately to be saved must be led by the Spirit. There are certainly invalid...

God won't let us entertain such thoughts if we never quench the Spirit of God in us. Most people today do. For this reason Apostle Paul warns us: "Quench not the Spirit!" The authority is still ours and when we foolishly retain hold on it instead continuing to give it God, we sin! It is present...

I am sorry... to what did I not respond? I thought I did respond to what you wrote on the post I quoted. Please clarify.

It is prepared for them, the ones that are willing and striving to do not less than their reasonable service unto God: "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service." Rom 12:1

Everyone, it seems to me, who is ever even for a moment, double-minded, has perhaps then a measure of Babylon within himself... Jesus is always ready to cover us, but so many insist on following their own heads instead of taking His Head as their own. What was the lesson of John the Baptist?
