    Edward Fudge: Hero Or Heretic?

By the way, did you know it is actually against the rules at CF to discuss annihilationism?

    Edward Fudge: Hero Or Heretic?

Thank you for that testimony, Sister.

    Edward Fudge: Hero Or Heretic?

You find this amusing? Nice straw man, by the way. Of course I intend to overcome, but 30 years ago, I wasn't so sure. See you in the funny papers.

    Edward Fudge: Hero Or Heretic?

I do. I'll take that offer. One of the greatest joys of my life was finding out that if I somehow failed to persevere and overcome, I would only have to look forward to getting what I deserve and no more than that.

    Edward Fudge: Hero Or Heretic?

I'll chance relying on the entire testimony of Scripture rather than gathering a few verses together that make God into a monster.

    The Basis of Salvation

You assume much. I just asked for some Scripture indicating that the two steps were chronological. And you're making a huge deal out of it. As far as the anti-Catholic part is concerned again you're taking a general statement personally. I mistook your position on this issue. I'm sorry. That's...

What Does "God Is Love" Mean?

    It's all good.

What Does "God Is Love" Mean?

The Bible says in John 17:5 that Christ was with His Father before the earth was created. This implies strongly that the Godhead enjoyed communion within Itself in eternity past. Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; (Genesis 1:26) So God created man in His...

What Does "God Is Love" Mean?

@Nancy Obviously, eternity cannot be compared directly to linear time as we experience. I speak of a mystery as best I can.

What Does "God Is Love" Mean?

Agreed, but as they are created beings, the Godhead was alone to itself before them, and love dwelt among the Persons of the Father, Son, and Spirit, no? God is and always has been love. :)

What Does "God Is Love" Mean?

Brother @amadeus the remarks before the quote in post #38 were meant for a different post. They have been edited out. Sorry for the mix-up. :)

    The Basis of Salvation

Nonsense. I concede, nay, I exclaim that all of Scripture is in harmony. If you can't get my point from what I've already said, then I can't think of any other way to express it. Not understanding each other and therefore rejecting each other is what causes the plurality within Christendom. And...

What Does "God Is Love" Mean?

There are 3 persons of the Godhead who loved each other in eternity past. I present my interpretation of truth for others to examine. I am not an ultimate arbiter of truth as so many seem to estimate of themselves. Thank you for granting me the right to be mistaken.

What Does "God Is Love" Mean?

Is it possible that there is an underlying standard of truth throughout the Bible? And yet, at the same time the possibility of God speaking to each according to his need? Obviously, this is rhetorical, but since Christ is the Truth (John 14:6), and the whole Bible testifies of Him Who changes...

    The Basis of Salvation

Because he was laying out a method or model of progression and I asked where this model was consolidated (or ordained to come one after another) in Scripture. Steps in a process should be outlined together in some way to be considered valid. I don't see how this is so hard to understand. What...
