However you may claim there is implicit teaching of the trinity, the truth is that any conclusion as to how the three members of the Godhead are united, as the creeds all so determinedly attempt to formulate, is still and will always be assumption.

When the early church became corrupted by departing from the simplicity of the gospel and accepting heathen rites and customs, she lost the Spirit and power of God; and in order to control the consciences of the people, she sought the support of the secular power. The result was the papacy, a...

The Romans weren't interested in an efficient death. They wanted to prolong the suffering for as long as possible... Hence their surprise at the death of Jesus on that same afternoon, which in a sense supports the OP, that the crucifixion did not kill Jesus... He offered His life a ransom for...

Let's find some context... KJV Exodus 15:23-26 23 And when they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters of Marah, for they were bitter: therefore the name of it was called Marah. 24 And the people murmured against Moses, saying, What shall we drink? 25 And he cried unto the LORD; and...

Completely irrelevant on a couple of points, but particularly with regards the dietary recommendations of the OT. God promised Israel they would be protected from the diseases of Egypt, from which they had just been set free after 400 years of eating crocodiles, snakes, lizards, and birds of...

Don't be sidetracked by politics. Socialism, communism, black lives matter etc etc etc etc ad nauseum, aren't the most immediate or the most dangerous enemy. For America, and later the whole world, the danger lies in the opposite direction... Apostate protestantism having way to much influence...

It is a strange irony that Christians would dream of pouring water into their gas tank, believing the manufacturers instructions and natural law, that such materials don't mix and don't burn. However, they ignore the Manufacturers instructions and natural law by pouring poisons into their own...

I see two major problems with this. One, your hope is in a human sacrifice if it was but the death of a man. Two, you are denying the Father actually sent a Son. You are saying the Father sent someone who became a son? And this 'someone' was still connected to the trinitarian God? The divine...

Two things. A literal ontological Father/Son relationship in the Godhead. And the complete death and separation of Christ from His Father at Calvary. The Trinity allows for neither of the above. The Trinity first speaks of Co equal Co eternal beinfs, this denying the begotten concept. Second...

What you are both missing is that if what you are both saying is true, albeit differently, is that what transpired is nothing more than a human sacrifice. If divinity did not die on Calvary, there was no Atonement.

I see no reason for anyone to debate that. Unless you are intimating it supports something you didn't include in post.

KJV 1 John 1:1-4 1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; 2 (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life...

There is not one Bible version I know of that doesn't say the whole world regarding 1 John 2:2. And in the parable of the 10 talents, the whole kingdom was Christ's. No-one was exempt from His rule. His love, His mercy and goodness was freely available for every man... KJV Luke 19:12, 14, 27 12...

Who has seen the movie, or read the book, Hacksaw Ridge ? Desmond Doss never fired a bullet, not even on a practise range, want to war and saved the lives of dozens of men under fire. And clearly with the aid of divine help. But he did the work. Because he was good? No, because he loved. And...

I began observing Saturday as the Sabbath because that's the seventh day that God blessed and sanctified for the purpose of fellowship with Himself and one another. I didn't go to a specific sect to learn that. It's in the bible, and I believed it. You above claim to refuse to go to a sect to...

Sorry you have such a negative view of the church. In the world, I agree to a point, but even there you will find exceptions. And she, there are churches and individuals in churches who are selfish to the core. Unconverted. Worldly. Determined to please themselves rather than please God. Seeking...

Depends. There are some SDAs who don't believe the Bible either. But if you believe the Bible, the least you would do is start observing the Sabbath. That would be a good start. It's always good to spend a day of God's choosing with Him.

Yep, and for me the greatest impediment to my growing closer to Christ is distractions. Becoming Christlike is the goal yes?

Even to giving your life for your enemy?

KJV Matthew 10:34-36 34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. 35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. 36 And a man's foes shall be they...
