Thank you JPPT 1974. I know nothing about the superbowl...whose gonna win or has it already happened?

I for one, do not believe that one must speak in tongues as evidence of the Holy Spirits presence and this is what is being insinuated here. The initial gift was made manifest through the Holy Spirit for the benefit of those who were present and many who heard were unbelievers. This was a sign...

... what did Abraham say when the rich man asked him to send Lazarus to his Father's house and testify to his five brother's least they also end up in that place of torment? They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.’ 30 And he said, ‘No, father Abraham; but if one goes to...

The keys that you speak of is what Jesus purchased for us through his death and resurrection. Those who believe in Jesus by faith no-longer need to be afraid of death because Jesus holds the keys of death and hell/hades, period! Death and hell/hades will eventually be thrown into the lake of...

Wow! that sure is an amazing prophecy unfolding before our very eyes :o Awesomeness!!! :D

Please PM HammerStone honey. Thank you :)

I'm sorry to hear that Poppin. I would really appreciate it if you to discuss the matter via PM with our Admin HammerStone before withdrawing your membership as it may be just a something that we can help with. He can also disable your membership if it comes down to it.... Thank you and Be Blessed!

Poppin, you are more than welcome here at CyB and I believe what you have said. I am also not a preterist either but believe that some passages of scripture describe the destruction of Jerusalem in 70AD while other scriptures are for future events..... Bless you!

...and what an awesome Police officer you would have been Pomp, I am sure... ^_^ I think that there is more to this passage then just selling a garment and buying a sword.....Jesus was prophesying the beginning of tribulation for them as followers of the way.

Also note in the story of the "Rich Man and Lazarus" [Luke 16:19-25] that a great chasm exists between hell or hades and Abraham"s bosom [which is in heaven Matt 8:11] so that those who wished to pass over either way...were not able to do so. There is only one way out of hell/hades and that is...

There is no salvation once the soul and spirit are removed from the body. Christ died as a flesh sacrifice. He cannot die as a spirit for us because his Spirit is eternal. He died as a soul for us because his soul was perfect in fulfilling what was required under the law of sin and death. It is...

Your repentance is in accordance to the outworking of your spirit coming into agreement with the Holy Spirit as you submit in obedience to the will of God The born-again position is when your old man is crucified and your new man is walking according to the Spirit. This is a mutual agreement...

Have you?

I am not sure what you are promoting here lukethreesix. UR? logabe said: ...is it really that hard to repent? If you understand God's commands why wouldn't you repent and live rather than not repent and die?

If you're looking for a Christian girl as a future wife, you need to go hard out for God. There is nothing more appealing than a man who is hard out for God...You need to treat women like they are your sisters and when you find that special girl you would like to spend the rest of your life...

bcmom Nice to meet you. It sounds as if your life is full on and I'm glad you have decided to join us here @CyB. Looking forward to your fellowship... Bless ya!

Your post: I believe that my scriptural explanation is quite obvious. God has made a new covenant which is not like the old covenant where the iniquity of the Fathers are passed down to the third or fourth generation - ‘The fathers have eaten sour grapes, And the children’s teeth are set on...

Ezekiel 18 1. The word of the Lord came to me again, saying, 2 “What do you mean when you use this proverb concerning the land of Israel, saying: ‘The fathers have eaten sour grapes, And the children’s teeth are set on edge’? 3 “As I live,” says the Lord God, “you shall no longer use this...

The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead who also dwells in us and gives life to our mortal bodies - is not active? Romans 8:11. Salvation is also a gift and so is righteousness, the Holy Spirit and eternal life. Oh okay but I have witnessed and have had many personal encounters...

Does that mean that you do not believe that the Holy Spirit who dwells in all born-again believers - is not active in our lives today?
