Right. And Jesus said to use THE TITLES....not the names. Example: The Holy Spirit has no name. God has a few, but Jesus said to use the term of TITLE. God is God. Jesus is Son. The Holy Spirit is the Holy Spirit. See.....no names.

The Catholic faith is deeper theologically. Try reading the New Advent Encyclopedia, It makes your brain want to burst!!

I'm good with this. We're discussing here,,,,and there are some reading along that can get both sides of the story. I have to say that most reformed I've interacted with are very unpleasant and this does not make for good conversation. I did meet up with one guy who's a 1689 Confessional...

Good for you Ritajanice. But I have no time for this nonsense of yours.

It would be good for you to read up on what God expects from you. Different persons feel different stuff in their spirit. But it's God's word that counts. And you do seem to post some of it. But not the right verses. Read up on the ones about love. John 13:35 35By this everyone will know that...

OK. I can go through it now and give you my thoughts. It's MY THOUGHTS. I'm still working on this.... I believe the above is metaphorical. The food which endures to everlasting life. Unlike the manna that did not endure... Unlike food that is for the body and not for the spirit. In this...

Spirit children understand God in their spirit? And WHRE is YOUR understanding? 1 John 4:7 7Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. 8The one who does not love does not know God, for God is love. 1 John 4:19-21 19We love...

Some will never come to the truth.... Laughing at those who are trying to share it is pure spiritual pride.

Great post EG. Have no time now. Later.... I'm sorry I didn't understand about John 6....

Nice Truther! Nice voice....you sound like a good guy. You DO state that they will receive forgiveness of sins and the Holy Ghost. Which would be the difference between the baptism of John and that of Jesus, as I've posted to you. It's this NAME thing that has you confused (excuse me, but I...

Believe what you will Truther. I can't continue with this like some on this thread. I'll leave you with this: The Wedding at Cana.... Mary said: WHATEVER HE SAYS TO YOU, DO IT. John 2:5 Like I said (maybe not to you) I tend to obey what JESUS stated.

What faith am I? Maybe you could advise me. What do you disagree with? At some point in time, it was decided to gather the writings that would go into the NT. At some point in time it was decided that maybe all the important writings should go into one book so it could be referred to in the...

I thought a lot about the Last Supper. I used to think that when Jesus said (about the bread) THIS IS MY BODY,,,,that He wasn't literally holding His body in His hands. But the very next day He went to the cross where HIS BODY was BROKEN for us,,,,just like He broke the bread. I've come to...

What do people mean by ROME? Rome was the head of the church at that time. Peter was the Bishop of Rome after Jesus ascension, and it's known that Rome was looked to for advice and guidance because Peter took on the role as leader of the church by consensus. Which probably happened because...

Thanks CS....you're so nice. This is what I expect from the reformed.... anger and disrespect for everyone. Maybe this is because they feel so special that God chose them to be saved. And the rest of us blokes are just trying to understand this God that only the reformed have understood...

You know EG,,,,I used to think like you. Thing is....I'm not so sure anymore. I feel like I'm on a journey....some things I'm absolutely sure of, and some things are still to be discovered. Jesus said that every time we meet, to do this in memory of Him. Do what? At the last supper He said THIS...

Do you wish to discuss reformed theology, or are you just going to tell me I'm wrong? Why do you understand God's Word differently than all the rest of Christianity? Maybe reformed theology is wrong?? Give me a verse that states that God chooses who will be saved. Otherwise this is all just...

Sometimes they're not misrepresenting the church. And sometimes they are. It's important to see the difference. Some things the church got wrong and is continuing in them because it's difficult to change.

OR It shows that I like to THINK THINGS THROUGH before accepting them. Now, if this is OK with PRIESTS,,,,I really don't care what YOU think about it.

What IS the truth Bread? The CC has some things WRONG. It has painted itself into a corner and can no longer get out easily. Did you know that the church would like to begin baptizing adults only? Probably not. But too much push-back from Catholics that have grown up with the idea that a baby...
