@BreadOfLife Because celibacy does not sanctify anything.....same before....same after......the only difference is if the Priest falls off his celibacy wagon the only thing that gets molested in a hollow chocolate bunny! I think chocolate is better. But he still does not say celibacy sanctifies...

Neither does wearing a robe and horny. Ok define better for me. I see churches wear husband and wife and children pastoral teams will blow you away and bring people to the Lord.

And I always like to ask....how are things in Australia? Take it from someone that has intentionally worshipped with several different denominations in Missouri, up and down the eastern seaboard and Virgin Island and 5 other countries...... ain't none of them got it right! We are all a work in...

And some ya make up? Well I got ta tell ya, I don't usually imply the word holy to people....but if I were to it would be mothers and they are not celibate. Not having sex improves nothing....it does not make ya holy and having sex does not make you less holy....same before and after....just...

Did Paul say holy......and implied is your opinion....and the proof is in the pudding....as it turned out the Church has been disgraced by it....as it turns out....anything but holy....it has neither served Christ or the Church but drag both through the mud.

Oh boy! Do you think that the term holy nature is in 1st Corinthians? There is nothing holy about celibacy. Our mothers are pure. There is nothing about marriage or family or have children that makes anybody less holy. Man! You have a problem! These scriptures do not mean anything like what...

They are kind of apples and oranges except they are things that Christ never intended to happen. The words for Matthew 5:48 are very clear... Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect....not should or strive. The words for Luke:26 are very clear “If anyone comes to Me, and does...

How to study scriptures.... people don't know how to study scriptures. I do believe that scriptures are God-breathed....but you got to understand them. Matthew 5:48 Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.....give that a try....squashed by the Word of God! “If anyone comes to...

Global Warming is going to be the death us.

Every step toward Rome.....But where are you coming from? With the growing trend of Christians not going to church....there are probably hundreds of millions of Christian renditions running around in people heads. No telling what they are believing....and then you have the New Age movement...

See post 918 And not all of the Apostles were celibate and still served God well.

You should try some of this too...... “Therefore you are to be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect. Matthew 5:48 “If anyone comes to Me, and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be My disciple. Luke...

Matthew 19:4-6 4 “Haven’t you read,” he replied, “that at the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female,’[a] 5 and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’? 6 So they are no longer two, but one flesh...

I am not trying to be coy or evade the question. I am simply humbled by the number of relatively good interpretations of the prophecies. Most of the prophetic books were written in the Hebrew Bible. Since prophetic writings have their own style which is not necessarily clearly stated, it is all...

Should we go to church? Does going to church matter? What is a church? Does it matter to God if we go to church or not? Does the Bible say we should assemble to worship the Lord? Is believing enough or should we assemble to worship God too? Should we only attend a perfect church? How do we...

Very good points but my answer would way to long.

This is one of the reasons that you cannot read the Bible like its the local Sunday paper. For the Jews, for a guy to remain celibate, it was like spitting on the cross. Could a celibate man be a Jewish religious leader.....? Look it up. LOL Scarcely any references to celibates are to be found...

Celibacy has no meaning for Christian service. It is so unnatural that it is nothing but a distraction from Christian service and it has done nothing but cause the Catholic Church disgrace and cost the Church millions to pay damages. You can look on the pedophile registry list in your area. You...

One big "silly stuff" COUNCIL OF CHALCEDON Year: 451 Summary: The Council of Chalcedon -- 150 bishops under Pope Leo the Great and the Emperor Marcian -- defined the two natures (Divine and human) in Christ against Eutyches, who was excommunicated. Defining the nature of Christ on earth or in...
