    The social gospel?

Yes. I don't care for what you wrote. I don't like to judge persons as to whether or not they're saved. I like to converse about scripture --- not whether or not someone is going to heaven or hell. Again. ONLY GOD KNOWS THAT.

    The social gospel?

Right. You believe in sinless perfection. OK. I don't agree but I'm not going to argue this. The important thing is that you believe. We have persons that believe they never sin... We have persons that won't plainly state that it's necessary to obey God... Makes me want to become a Catholic again.

    The social gospel?

You could be a spirit child Rita.....Who am I to tell you you're not? But I don't think you have the authority to know if someone is saved or not. I don't care how much discernment you THINK you have... ONLY GOD can know who is saved and who isn't. HE made the rules...NOT YOU.

    The social gospel?

Wow. Are you telling the other member he's not born again? HOW do you know that? You're privy to God's mind?

    The social gospel?

Do you believe in sinless perfection?

    When are God's Elect Justified?

How do you know for sure that you're saved until the end of your life? You have no way of knowing for sure that God picked you for salvation. Because of this following in John Calvin's writings: there are two species of calling: for there is an universal call, by which God, through the...

    The social gospel?

I think that we have to go a little out of the bible at times to understand terms. Do you also have a problem with Trinity, Incarnation ? I don't know about Temple Holiness....not sure what you mean. I DO agree that holiness must be IN CHRIST,,, don't know how else one could achieve any...

    The social gospel?

@RedFan Also this, but it's very limited.... According to the views of Roman bishops, however, only apostolic sees, churches actually founded by apostles, were eligible for primacy; this view thus excluded any patriarchal role for Constantinople. In fact, the popes of Rome always opposed the...

    The social gospel?

Can't disagree....but let's see what holy means, this might be causing a problem. Holy means the same as sanctified.... TO BE SET APART for service to God. If we are set apart for service to God,,,, AND WE DO SERVE HIM (some seem to think that this is not an important factor) then we can say...

What is the purpose of infant baptism?

RedFan, Looks like you were right about the Apostles. I found the following, but it doesn't say too much, but it's a good start.... will keep trying... https://cnewa.org/pentarchy-50899/

    The social gospel?

Sorry E Just reading thru a little. Don't you think a person needs holiness to be righteous ? (In God's eyes). What is holiness?

    The social gospel?

Why do you care what Calvin believed or Arminius? Why not read the NT and believe what IT teaches? So do you believe Calvin or orthodox Christianity? Sorry. Just got here.

What is the purpose of infant baptism?

Jude You're big on authority..... How do YOU respect authority when someone CHANGES the rules???? Single handedly,,,, no magesterium. To the chagrin of Bishops and priests?

What is the purpose of infant baptism?

What if you know it from the inside? Why do I have to be on the outside? I'm not going to do what some do and try to bury a person or denomination but you know what the issues are.....if you want to support him I'm not here to argue. I don't. And if you want to know why,,,,,I'll give you some...

What is the purpose of infant baptism?

Late here. Will try to find something tomorrow. I don't think Mark or Andrew were Popes. I do believe James was... 'Night

What is the purpose of infant baptism?

Ignatius of Antioch is probably my favorite. He wrote his letters on the way to Rome to be martyred --- fed to the lions. Who of us would be willing to do this today? Those who want to ignore history are missing a great deal of the beauty of their Christianity. Their loss. Ignatius of Antioch...

What is the purpose of infant baptism?

Gosh RedFan I had done a small study on this a few years ago because Peter was never referred to as Pope in the early writings. Not ALL metropolitan Bishops were referred to as Pope.... Just the 5 main ones of the cities I posted. I'm not saying that the Bishop/Pope of Alexandria or...

What is the purpose of infant baptism?

Peter was one of them. There were 5 important regions and each one had a head/an authority so that the bishops could be guided correctly. Much like the CC today. Each area had Bishops, so the head had to be called something else, and the word used was Pope. Papa....like father, and the office...
