What if you lose your faith?

It's not US that should be THINKING Behold. We have to go by what scripture says, not what you or someone else decides is right. I have children. If one just left and abandoned me...he would not be my son anymore. My son stays near me and wants a relationship with me. If he leaves, he's as good...

What if you lose your faith?

Well Farouk, it would seem that works are indeed necessary... but late here. Will be back tomorrow. Here's a taste: Galatians 6:9 James 4:17 Hebrews 10:24 Titus 2:7-9 Titus 3:14 and many more...

What if you lose your faith?

This seems pretty good... What Is the Difference between Justification and Sanctification?

What if you lose your faith?

Of course you can forfeit a birth. The lost son did. Jesus said you could. Could you post some verses, as I did, that state that a person CANNOT ever forfeit their faith?

What if you lose your faith?

Don't need to do a google search FB. You didn't post it for me, BTW. Let me see if I can find a link quick and see if we agree...

You're speaking about the OT. God revealed Himself in the OT but it would seem that the people of that time understood that everything that happened was caused by God. We're speaking about 4,000 years ago...the bronze age. The OT was inspired by God but not written by Him. Jesus, in the NT...

What if you lose your faith?

Why do you just take what you like? The father had 2 sons. One left. He took his inheritance, 2/3 of the inheritance, and left. JESUS said he became lost. It's Jesus telling the parable. In Luke 15:24 Jesus states that the lost son that had abandoned his father was DEAD and had come to life...

What if you lose your faith?

Agreed with all BB. But saying the above is different than when persons say one can never forfeit their salvation. It's two totally different statements. I wish you guys would realize this... Jesus said His Friends would obey Him and that His commandments are not burdensome. John 14:15 IF YOU...

Faith-based tattoo: as a result of one, did you ever talk with someone? (Poll included)

Right. She's in her late 40's, I believe. At least her 40's.

What if you lose your faith?

What is a REAL BELIEVER? Is Ferris not a real believer because He agrees with what Jesus taught? Am I not a real believer because I agree with what Jesus taught? Why was OSAS never even heard of in the church until 1,500 years after Jesus died?

What if you lose your faith?

Amen. Every word of Jesus is great. I listen to what He had to say more than anyone else. However, what Paul said does sync with what Jesus said. Thankfully !

What if you lose your faith?

But the words of Jesus and Paul and the other writers do not agree with this statement many make that the professing believer was not really saved. The NT teaches that salvation can be forfeited. I posted some verses in my other posts from before. How do you reconcile these verses??: Romans...

What if you lose your faith?

I think we can all agree that our works are a sign of our believing in Jesus and what He taught. I'm not going to argue over a word. James used the word JUSTIFICATION, he should have used the word SANCTIFICATION. Theologically, this difference has been worked out by better brains than ours and...

What if you lose your faith?

Jesus taught in the Prodigal Son... For the son was lost but he has been found AGAIN. Luke 15:24 God is love...1 John 4:8

What if you lose your faith?

Yes. The Lost Sheep. Welcome back brother! God searches for His sheep and always welcomes the lost ones back into the fold. I do have 2 comments: First, 2 Timothy 2:13 does not what you believe it means. If it did, scripture would be contradicting itself with 2 Timothy 2:12 which states that...

Evil is not just pain. Evil is anything that is not Godly. Evil could be physical, psychological or natural. Some believe man makes his own evil. This is not the meaning of evil in the scriptures. A hurricane is evil. And all other such natural disasters. So they cannot be man-made.

Are you saying Jesus was Yaweh? So if God became a man.... and Jesus clearly said the Father is greater than Him (at that moment) then Who was holding up the universe?

What if you lose your faith?

They were true Christians Dropship. You and some others just can't accept it. Please read my last few posts...I can't repeat. This is a poor excuse and not found in scripture. If you can find some verses, could you post them please?

What if you lose your faith?

A poster on this very thread has stated that he abandoned God. Is a REAL believer different from a believer? What could be more than believing??

What if you lose your faith?

This is the old THEY WERE NEVER REALLY SAVED idea. Maybe you could provide some verses that state this? The verse in John saying that some left is speaking about Gnostics. Yes, they were not of the believers. Every other verse that speaks about falling away or not abiding or losing faith, etc...
