Invisible to our blind carnal eyes, but what is invisible to the Holy Spirit within us? That is the Lord with us, is it not? This is why Apostle Paul writes: "Quench not the Spirit." I Thess 5:19 When and if we do quench the Spirit, are we not effectively making ourselves blind once again...

Whose paraphrase? Where did the word, "grace" come into it? Mt 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. [KJV] Mt 4:4 But he answering said, `It hath been written, Not upon bread alone doth man...

No it is a different door! Jesus knocks on the door to our heart! We knock in order to come into Him... that is to receive what God has for us. He cannot come into us to work unless we allow it. But on the other hand we want to enter into His Spirit and become one with God.

Invisible? What is it that according to Jesus some are able to see? Is it not the carnal eyes of men that are unable to see? Whose eyes and ears are blessed and able to see? What? "Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they...

More than new paint needed here. The covering of skin was still corruptible and men have corrupted it and continue to corrupt it. "For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal...

We were made in His image and likeness but that is past tense. Our first parents disobeyed God and lost their covering and thereby the covering of their offspring... which includes you and me. They were naked and tried to cover themselves, but it was inadequate. God gave them a covering but it...

Amen! I just visited that other place and to put it mildly the contrast is striking!

@Wynona Praying with you for your friend, Paul!

I only read the post to which I responded. I did not read the rest of the thread which was not addressed to me. You should respond to individuals rather than to everyone as if everyone was the same. We are not.

Well your only response to me was I what I quoted. If you believe this new non-scriptural citation which to me contradicts what I have understood from the scriptures, that is between you and God. Thank you anyway for clarifying your position...

"And even things without life giving sound, whether pipe or harp, except they give a distinction in the sounds, how shall it be known what is piped or harped? For if the trumpet give an uncertain sound, who shall prepare himself to the battle?" I Cor 14:7-8
