The assumption that God's Spirit manifests in the prediction of specific political or relational future telling attempts to bring to nought what Jesus himself said about the Spirit .... ‘I have yet many things to say to you, but ye are not able to bear [them] now; 13and when He may come — the...

and so your view is short, narrow and out of focus!

You interpret 'wrath' through the only lens you know how to. Ever thought there might be other options? Ever considered getting to the meaning of Hebrew idioms? Are you aware that they even exist in scripture?

maybe not!

No Eve....but why do you find it helpful?

So much for your many words against the law in previous threads Ferris! It's not an unexpected turnout. In fact it is very consistent .....those who rail against the law the loudest inevitably appeal to the law for how things should be done....as you have above. I s'pose it's something you'll...

I can not disagree with you more on this C&Z. This position reinforces the very claims that Satan makes against God. The assumption is that God makes trash, then has the right to discard it when the scripture clearly tells us that what God created was good.......and the morning stars sang for...

Are you suggesting God made rape, murder, slander, theft, lying, unfaithfulness etc, C&Z?

Speaking to why Jesus cut short of his reading of text in Isaiah 61....No punctuation or verses were used in the Hebrew scrolls. These were added in English translations. He chose the passage to read and read it. It had the desired effect.....he got peoples attention. Small bites are most...
