And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground. - Genesis 4:10 I wonder if a tree's sap does not cry out unto God in the same manner.

But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. - Romans 14:10-11 For we must all appear...

Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. - Matthew 10:29 Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God? - Luke 12:6 I do not believe that the animals depart this world without the...

I would spend some time studying a man before issuing such a statement.

Believing that trees have souls also cost Robert Sheffey his license to preach... Robert made his way the next week to the presiding elder of the Wytheville district to obtain his license to preach. He was questioned at length and some of the questions and the tone of the questioner gave him...

During the last week of school Robert Sheffey took all seventeen of his students for a creekside walk so they might observe and appreciate the wonders of nature as he did. He found that many of them did so already, while still others seemed hardly aware of the beauties around them. The latter...

8 The trees went forth on a time to anoint a king over them; and they said unto the olive tree, Reign thou over us. 9 But the olive tree said unto them, Should I leave my fatness, wherewith by me they honour God and man, and go to be promoted over the trees? 10 And the trees said to the fig...

12 And on the morrow, when they were come from Bethany, he was hungry: 13 And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find any thing thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not yet. 14 And Jesus answered and said unto...

Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump? - 1 Corinthians 5:6 According to the Apostle Paul... Just a little ego... And the whole batch is bad! I must cry with Wesley on this matter, 0 beware, do not seek to be something! Let me be nothing, and...

I was a teenager during the 1980's election. I had thought that if we elected Reagan in it would be the salvation of the nation. Along with the Reagan election came the rise of many Pentecostal ministries. I even heard some evangelist declare that if God was not using their ministry that the...

Well... If you lock yourself in a room and not do anything you will be condemned for being an unprofitable servant. If you go out and do things you will make mistakes and be condemned for sinning. I think sin is pretty much a guarantee. However the bible notes that if we forgive others our...

If Peter were in Rome I would have expected him to have referred to it in his epistles. And I would have expected the Apostle Paul to have written about it too.

A video tribute! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W8Z-e6wSAz8

Wish he would have stayed here in the Virginia vicinity!

I don't believe Peter was ever in Rome until after the liberation of Rome by Constantine. And only in that the Catholic church had to put him in that position and declared him first Pope of the church. The Apostle Paul had encounters with Peter in Asia, but never in Europe. The Apostle Paul would...
