It's just that you are taking "God is with us" literally. This phrase applies to many in the OT. No one thought it meant literally.

I refuse to be mislead by the worst translation known to exist in English. Matthew 1:23 Complete Jewish Bible 23 “The virgin will conceive and bear a son, and they will call him ‘Immanu El.”[a] (The name means, “God is with us.”) Nope. Romans 10:9 says our salvation depends on saying Jesus...

Seems we cannot be on the same page when I am talking about his name and you are talking about what he is called AS IF that is the same thing. Make A Blessed Day!

@jessicaleks93, Did you check out the JW in person?

Was his name Emmanuel or Jesus? Your flexibility of what someone's name is is something to behold.

False Alternative. There is not one verse in the Bible that says something like the Jews stone to death God incarnate. Also, notice that Jesus did not say he is. Rather he referred them to Ps 82:6. Are we all gods or not?

Again, if true, you’d provide the verse - not the chapter.

I understand you are going beyond the r word of God. If there was a verse that said what you claimed, you’d provide it.

Jack, you have shown yourself more ignorant of Scripture on these boards than anyone else's posts that I've read. I'll type this slowly in the hopes you understand. If eternal torment is the price for sin, then Jesus did not pay the price. And his sacrifice was for nothing! Recognize the...

You are confused. What faith is and what it is based on are not the same thing. A bridge is based on a firm foundation but a firm foundation is not a bridge. I see the phrase “that they may know You”. This refers to direct experience. All one may get from a book is knowing about someone...

Right, I said we are not saved by a book. People do not know the only true God by reading a book! They know the only true God by direct revelation. (That's what happened to me.) Why do you pretend only she gets to make a point? Anyone can LEARN ABOUT someone by reading a book but that was never...

Same back at you. Being put into everlasting fire does not mean you burn everlasting.

It's never been more obvious to me than since Oct 7 that the Deep State wants stalemate in Israel, Gaza and the West Bank. I did not realize there is a special division of the UN, UNRWA, that is just for Palestinian refugees. There is another division of the UN dedicated to all other refugees...

He hated their hypocrisy not their Jewish heritage.

What verse in Scripture says that? Asking for a friend.

There's plenty of precedents for miltary leaders getting canned during wartime. Lincoln fired many generals. Patton was relieved. Regarding the politics of post victory in Gaza, it is a reminder to us all that vicotry is often easier than nation building with no easy answers. I'm pragmatic on...

No. What day one worships in fellowship is different from honoring the God of Creation by resting. I like the idea consistent with the 1C to honor God first, on the first day of the week. And to honor God by resting on the last day of the week - after the work is done.

What people don't realize is that some words refer to geographical areas, not political or genetic affiliation. Such is the case with Judea and Palestine, Appalachia, Highlander, etc.

1st., Your reply was specific to the OP (you). 2nd., you question was about needing a channel, opposed to communication redundancy, on grounds it is already in the national news - not that the video was untruthful. 3rd., There is no argument, just assertions on your part. And no response to...

I know that generally. But what specifically? I find it peculiar that you don't react to the need to deport immigrants but only to the story of it happening possibly being false as a means to slander another poster.
