    The Case for Eternal Security

I did not read in today's devotional reading the whole verse. The last part is as strong a proof text against OSAS as one could imagine. if you abandon him (Adonai), he will abandon you! 2 Chronicles 15:2 (CJB, emphasis added)

Was Bible Possession banned by the Catholic Church

False. It is true that Boston is north of Miami, even though it is not in the Bible. Sola Scriptura is Latin for To hell with the corrupt Catholic Church, the faithful will rely on God's word and their own conscience. I read that on the internet. So, it must be true. :rain?:

    The Case for Eternal Security

You do not seem to recognize: there is a strong case against OSAS. there is no evidence for OSAS. The only evidence for eternal security is in the context of our ongoing faithfulness. For sure, we have that. So called evidence for OSAS, is a contradiction in terms, when you have the explicit...

What is the name Father, which Jesus proclaimed within his life?

REV translation: 14And God said to Moses, “I am who I am.” And he said, “You are to tell the children of Israel this: ‘I am has sent me to you.’” 15Furthermore, God said to Moses, “Tell the children of Israel this: ‘Yahweh, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the...

What is the name Father, which Jesus proclaimed within his life?

That is his nature, being eternal. ("I am" is actually a bad translation. "I am eternal" is a better translation). What God was saying to Moses is differentiating him from all the other gods in the area. Moses is being sent by the eternal God. But his nature is not his name. In the very next...

What is the name Father, which Jesus proclaimed within his life?

Allow me to assist. One of the basic means to steer us away from truth is to corrupt our basic means to determine truth, logic. Logic is the art of the non-contradictory identification of truth. It is based on the Law of Mutual Exclusivity. If something is in, it is not out. If something is up...

    The Case for Eternal Security

What would be a strong case against eternal security?

What is the name Father, which Jesus proclaimed within his life?

REV renders it best: 18that they may know that you alone, whose name is Yahweh, are the Most High over all the earth.

    The Case for Eternal Security

^ This post. Not a Scripture verse in sight. To say God does not want anyone to perish is not to mean universalism is true. Not sure how tou suppose this line of rationalization supports OSAS.

    Blasphemy: The Limits of God

Agreed. He chooses to limit himself to good actions, just actions, loving actions. Jesus said God is good. It is this philosophical foundation that led to scientific discoveries in the West but not the East, Middle East, etc. Islam rejects Jesus’ claim. It is worded that Allah’s hands are...

    The Case for Eternal Security

IMO, this is one of the strongest verses against OSAS. The pivot point is about our own going will and faith. If it be our will and faith is to God, then the circuit is complete. OTOH, if our will and faith is broken, the circuit is broken. Hence, verses like Hebrews 10:26.

    The Case for Eternal Security

Sure we do! False doctrine. Why do you suppose Christ said in John 15:4 Remain in me, as I also remain in you? It's because we might not remain in him. Do you think God will save us against our will?

    Blasphemy: The Limits of God

What's not a metaphor is that God has limits. And I do not believe that the Spirit of God in us is a metaphor. Why do you suppose Christ said, Remain in me, as I also remain in you. John 15:4 Because we could NOT remain in him. This means our being a vessel to bring the Kingdom of God has...

    Blasphemy: The Limits of God

Circular reasoning. The sky is purple. That's just how I feel about it. The question is not about how you feel.

    TULIP an open discussion

No question that God allows evil AND does evil and commands evil (destruction). And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not. Jonah 3:10 KJV Making general statements gives me cause...
