    Non-Beneficial practices

That very verse was the straw that broke the camel's back in our very first pentecostal assembly when the church was having a Christmas tree fund raising sale and we refused to participate. We were young and foolish in many ways, but we were also zealous for God. Not long before that the pastor...

Where's the hunger for the things of God?

Those truly hungry and thirsty for what God has to offer will be filled. Too many service stations, called churches, it seems however are out of gas.

Where's the hunger for the things of God?

Unfortunately sister, too many places insisting on men only in their formal ministries get so involved in such legalities they miss God. Who does that help? God will put His Word in the mouths of available willing vessels according to His need without regard to physical gender! When I was in...

    Non-Beneficial practices

It all goes alone with an old saying, "We are what we eat". While the literal words may not be scripture, the idea certainly is supported by what is written in scripture! Too many people, supposedly Christian people eating too much garbage.

    Non-Beneficial practices

@Mayflower There is really no day that is in itself either safe or dangerous, but people do make them into something. Celebrating personal birthdays of family and friends could be an innocent enjoyable thing, but even that for some has been declared off limits. How many people have been born...

    Vaccine... Again, sorry.

@Heart2Soul Looks like this one is ripe enough to shut down

    Vaccine... Again, sorry.

Even so! With unbelievers, I understand, but with people claiming to believe, too many insist on behaving as if they own something and have some rights to something. Steward is the right word but even the word is foreign to some. Was mehr kann ich sagen?

    'Silly wabbit'!

    Vaccine... Again, sorry.

The last time I wrote about that I received some real opposition... We will leave alone as being unedifying!

    I'll take milk?

Thanks for that! Never too late for more encouragement. Yesterday was my own fault as usual. Six days a week I divide my morning Bible reading into 2 days each for English, German and Spanish. It was a German morning and even after so many years it is still the most difficult reading for me. I...

    Vaccine... Again, sorry.

God made everything...the people and the things and it all belongs to Him. He did make a way for people to inherit where they could actually become owners, but dead men don't qualify for that for naught. The first born of Egypt and the those of Sodom who were terminated did not qualify. They...

    Vaccine... Again, sorry.

I read what they write or listen to what someone is saying about it, but when it comes down to the it the decision is mine alone... with the same exception you mentioned our wives. That is the other half of us and we need to pay serious attention to any input from her. My wife is a lot light...

    Vaccine... Again, sorry.

Chastisement would be for someone already in the camp that needs correction. For instance when my little son is making a mess in my back yard, it is my job to render any deserved punishment [chastisement], not the neighbor who happens to witness his mess making. The child is not in his camp. The...

    Vaccine... Again, sorry.

Which ever way we choose on the vaccine thing and whatever questions we or anyone else asks, God does have the right answers. This whole thread may have been intended as a spoof, but there is some realities for people to see... if they have eyes to see. On both sides [get vaccine or don't] there...

    I'll take milk?

The baby in still only a diaper and not completely focusing eyes perceives perhaps the light of day or the artificial electric lights, versus the darkness but all as still only unclear shadows to its developing senses. Unacquainted, but striving in some way, some curiosity [at some point]...

7 Church Ages/ The final age... Laodecia...the lukewarm church

I looked up this one on Wikipedia because my old pastor [will be 97 next month] many years ago visited one of those old cities in modern Turkey, Smyrna, now known as Izmir. Izmir, is a metropolitan city in the western extremity of Anatolia. It is the third most populous city in Turkey, after...
