Thank you for your response. As an old former member of UPC I have not left it all, but I cannot embrace your conclusions here.

Acts 2:38 has been abandoned by Christianity

I don't mind that people don't read my long posts. I skip most long posts myself. However, if you are going to respond to anyone about what they posted you should first read it and understand it. I know that some people on this forum don't do that. I try not to do that myself. Successfully? God...

    Is Being Late A Sin?

"When thou shalt vow a vow unto the LORD thy God, thou shalt not slack to pay it: for the LORD thy God will surely require it of thee; and it would be sin in thee. But if thou shalt forbear to vow, it shall be no sin in thee" Deut. 23:21-22 The key is a "Vow unto the LORD". Promises to men are...

Acts 2:38 has been abandoned by Christianity

If you do not understand what I am say, that's OK. Either skip it or ask questions, but please do not put words in my mouth. I have not and would not dismiss baptism in water especially when especially when Jesus himself insisted that John baptize him in water. I do however emphasize the...

Acts 2:38 has been abandoned by Christianity

Does the word, baptism, mean that water is necessary? John the Baptist baptized people in water but he spoke of the coming Messiah, Jesus, who would baptize people with the Holy Ghost and fire. Peter said that people should be baptized not in water or in the Holy Ghost but IN his name. The gift...

Acts 2:38 has been abandoned by Christianity

"spoken"? Can a mute person ever be IN the name? Is one person always dependent on other people in order to approach God? "Immersed in water"? How about being immersed in the Spirit of God? Is the Holy Ghost not involved even before a man has fully decided to follow God?

Acts 2:38 has been abandoned by Christianity

Turn around and away from your old self and his evil ways. be immersed, covered, complete filled... When a person is in the name completely isn't it that he has the mind of Christ? Do all of us have the mind of Christ all of the time? If we did, we certainly wouldn't sin at all, would we? I...

A SHOUT OUT OF PRAISE TO THE LORD!!

Thanks for the invitation, but honestly anything after the 1960's and the very early 70's apart from some Christian music is outside of where I am. Even a lot of my old favorites from the 50's and 60's I won't listen to anymore.
