    Lordship salvation

Those who teach salvation by works are not Christians. There are genuine Christians and there are “nominal” Christians. In regards to abiding in the vine, Greek scholar AT Robertson explains that there are - “two kinds of connections with Christ as the vine (the merely cosmic which bears no...

    Not faith alone?

Sure it does. For by grace you “have been” (past tense, with ongoing present results) saved through faith. (Ephesians 2:8) Saved from the PENALTY of sin. (justification) Not by works (Ephesians 2:9) faith alone. Not to be confused with “receiving the end (future tense) of your faith the...

    Not faith alone?

I've heard certain people misinterpret Romans 10:9,10 in such a way that means we can believe unto righteousness today, but are still lost until we confess Christ, which may be next week or next month and then we are finally saved next week or next month, but that is not what Paul is talking...

    Not faith alone?

By cultivating the qualities listed in 2 Peter 1:5-7, believers can be sure that God has called them and elected them. These fruits will confirm it. Make sure you have been called and elected - bébaios (an adjective, derived from bainō, "to walk where it is solid") – properly, solid (sure)...

    Are you saved now?

Amen! Saving faith in Christ endures and is not some shallow, temporary belief that has no root, produces no fruit and withers away. Ephesians 2:8 - For by grace you have been saved (past tense, with ongoing present results) through faith.

    Are you saved now?

Amen! Well said. :) There are 3 tenses to salvation that may get confused by certain individuals. 1. We have been saved from the PENALTY of sin (justification) 2. We are being saved from the POWER of sin (ongoing sanctification) 3. We will be saved from the PRESENCE of sin (glorification)

    Not faith alone?

Paul uses hyperbole about understanding ALL mysteries and ALL knowledge and having faith that can move mountains yet having NO love in order to stress the importance of love. Faith works through love (Galatians 5:6), but we are saved through faith, not faith "plus love/acts of charity/works."...

If Baptism could save then there is no need for the shed Blood of Jesus.

I already explained your one string banjo verse to you multiple times now. I can see that you are thoroughly indoctrinated into Campbellism. What must we do per Acts 16:30-31? You would walk around mountains of grace in order to find water.

    Not faith alone?

Romans 5:1 - Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom also we have access by faith (and works? and sacraments? NO simply faith) into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. Salvation through...

If Baptism could save then there is no need for the shed Blood of Jesus.

No, the early church was not a one string banjo. Acts 2:38 is not the only verse in the book of Acts. (Acts 3:19; 5:31; 10:43-47; 11:17,18; 13:39; 15:7-9; 16:31; 26:18) You need to learn how to properly harmonize scripture with scripture before reaching your conclusion on doctrine.

If Baptism could save then there is no need for the shed Blood of Jesus.

That sounds like the Campbellite 4 step plan of salvation, but not necessarily in that order.

    Not faith alone?

We are justified by faith (rightly understood) in Christ alone. (Romans 3:24-28; 4:5-6; 5:1; Ephesians 2:8,9 etc..). The RCC message is counterfeit. The Catholic Church Teaches Salvation by Works

    Catholic understanding of the Eucharist

At the church where I attend we do partake of the Lord's Supper and we believe that the bread and wine symbolically represent the body and blood of Christ, but we don't believe in transubstantiation/cannibolism. We do not dismiss partaking of the Lord's supper or receiving water baptism for new...

    Catholic understanding of the Eucharist

Jesus explains the sense of the entire passage in John 6 when He says, "It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life." (John 6:63) Jesus used figurative language to emphasize these great spiritual truths. Jesus is not...

    Lordship salvation

Amen! Christ saves us through faith based on the merits of His finished work of redemption alone and not based on the merits of our works/performance/accomplishments. (Romans 3:24-28; 4:5-6; Ephesians 2:8,9 etc..) That's not hard to understand. It's just hard for many people to ACCEPT.

    Not faith alone?

I was once in a conversation with a Seventh Day Adventist who was absolutely obsessed with the Law. Here is a statement below that he once made to me which demonstrates that he remains under the Law and teaches "salvation by grace plus law, faith plus works." (Galatians 1:6-9) The counterfeit...

    How Fruity Are You?

Gods wants spiritual fruit, not religious nuts. :D

    Not faith alone?

You people are liars? Say what? o_O The narrow way is through faith in Jesus Christ. (John 10:9; 14:6; Galatians 2:16; Ephesians 2:8,9; Philippians 3:9 etc..). Why do you keep bringing up the law? Are you seeking to be justified by the law?

    Not faith alone?

To be justified is to be declared legally righteous. Faith is believing, trusting, relying in Jesus Christ for salvation and obedience which “follows“ is works/works of righteousness. It depends on what you mean by “keep” the commandments. The Greek word for “keep” is “tereo” which means...
