Did it not cause you you to search it out and post several other translations of it? Did I do it... or did God do it? How like Him are we to this point? How like Him may we be? Jesus in this world was the Light, but when he is no longer in the world, who is the Light?

Give God always the glory, Sister!

"Thus saith the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, and his Maker, Ask me of things to come concerning my sons, and concerning the work of my hands command ye me." Isaiah 45:11

I checked carefully for the second one finding nothing even close in the scriptures. Then I found the original document online by Walter Hilton online. The way it is worded in the paragraph seems to credit it to Paul, but it doesn't fit exactly even in some remote translation. I believe the...

"And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing." I Cor 13:2 [MKJV] The second one beginning with "knowledge by itself stirs..." seems to be a citation the...

Consider Time as per @ScottA ABOUT TIME

All of the children of Israel following Moses out of Egypt through the Red Sea were set apart [Holy] by God from Pharaoh and his armies, but only Caleb and Joshua were also righteous so as to continue on in to the Promised Land!

Praying now for your good friends, Nancy!

Perhaps God's problem, but sometimes when we see them or cross their pathways as Jesus did, then in the same Spirit as Jesus, we also may weep.

For people who really put every thing they are and everything they have into it it is easy to serve God. For people who try to walk a thin line between the Way of God and the ways of men, wanting to get what they consider the best of btoh worlds, it is very hard indeed. Consider what their end...

Specifically Peter was referring to the words of the prophet Joel [2:28-32] but I first heard of "Joel's Bar" back in 1970's from a young black man who loved and knew God and who regularly partook of that "wine". He was the same man who taught me this: "It is easy to serve God hard, but it is...

Aye there is the wine to be bought from the neighborhood liquor store [squeezed from grapes] and there is the wine from "Joel's Bar" as per: "For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day. But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel; And it...

Are not believers in the Lord and His Way walking on water today? Before Peter received the gift of the Holy Ghost, he walked on water! Consider the water he walked on and consider the water that Jesus has for those who ask of him!

Probably beforehand @CharismaticLady was unaware that the dealership was there. She also was not expecting or planning for her car to have trouble. She had simply learned to trust God. Is God not trustworthy? Was not the dealership and their ability to fix the problem the substance of her hope...

I am praying for your son, John and his hearing in particular! Our God is always able.

So why did Jesus advise these women to change the focus of their weeping? "And there followed him a great company of people, and of women, which also bewailed and lamented him. But Jesus turning unto them said, Daughters of Jerusalem, weep not for me, but weep for yourselves, and for your...

Also praying for this person.

Also praying for Ian!

People are curious and sometimes in their curiosity they get pushy. Don't let any man/woman push you into doing something. Learn to listen to God being sure in your own heart that it is His voice. There are a whole lot of preachers and pastors [so-called?] and even Bible teachers who still have...

It means we cannot put God into a box with definite length, height and width. God can do the undoable including manifesting the frailties of men as we see in the man Jesus. God never sinned. Jesus never sinned, but Jesus was tempted and expressed pain or joy as we express pain or joy. God the...
