I hear your request Truman but not posting on your topic like others does not mean my heart is not lifted to God for you. We want to be pain free; thats why we pray.....however, if we continue to put our hand in the fire, what do we expect? The scriptures have given us sufficient information to...

My faith grows strong when I see how much I am loved. The more I learn about the extent of God's love the safer I feel. There is a link to the Light Bearers presentations in my signature below.....I find them very encouraging.

it is all part of the the fallen race....the unrelenting much to death. There are many reasons for physical pain. An unwise diet, accidents, emotional trauma, fear etc. Some can be reduced or eliminated by actively pursuing a path to wholeness. I know folk who suffer because of weight yet they...

is it not obvious?? In one post you say you rarely pray and a few posts down you say you and God talk all the time.

Something does not add up here Curtis...perhaps you could clarify? In the statement above you say:- 'My faith started to wane when I had a miscarriage, and I could never reconcile that my baby would have no resurrection according to Jehovah’s Witness beliefs' ....the implication is, you are...

Thank you for your responses AJ to both me and backlit. Your replies have given me a pretty good window into the core of how JW's are wired. It has been revelatory because these views have been concealed by other interactions if had with your fellowship. I will add, my understanding of the...

hmmmm, interesting statement in the light of what you said in post #2

Wrangler, you are sidestepping and projecting onto me the very thing you are doing.

God hears the heart and intentions. Even while praying there will be thoughts in my mind which I have come to recognise as not mine and have learned that the evil one is regularly present planting thoughts and then accusing me of thinking them in hope I will take the bait and condemn...

Prayer is your active connection with God. It is not for him; it is for you. Prayer is the heart's cry to God in thankfulness, for strength and courage, for discernment and wisdom....it is to be as spontaneous as breathing.

I bend the word of God.....but only because its not a hardcover. Science on the other hand doesn't need bending; it suits itself when it's convenient.

well, If he's gonna throw people in the lake of fire, whats the point dying for them?

do you really believe Jesus will cast people into the lake of fire?

Do-ers vs Be-ers 2 is that a new variety of honey producing insect?

wince...is that what Jesus says to you Wrangler?

Law in its external form is only necessary when there is a reason for it to be. If no one has ever killed, why make a law that says don't kill" If adultery does not exist or is not known why have a law prohibiting it? It would be like a law that says nobody is to gouge out eyes. It's irrelevant...

I see retribution has the priority in your post AJ and mercy never gets a mention. Is this not the same MO as the world?

hmmm, what a can of worms.....each blaming the other! Blaming! where does that spirit come from?

The Kingdom of God! What is it? I've been throwing this question around in my mind for some years now. As we know, many of the things Jesus spoke pertain to the Kingdom of God. How is it the understanding of what he meant is so elusive? Are we looking for treasure where there is no...

I wouldn't be so quick to draw the conclusions you have Cooper......you might find it condemns yourself.
