Paul was a zealous one! Acts 23:3 Then said Paul unto him, God shall smite thee, thou whited wall: for sittest thou to judge me after the law, and commandest me to be smitten contrary to the law?

2 Then after fourteen years I went up again to Jerusalem with Barnabas, taking Titus along with me. 2 I went up because of a revelation and set before them (though privately before those who seemed influential) the gospel that I proclaim among the Gentiles, in order to make sure I was not...

I do not feel that mother earth can handle too many more large families. I go to cruises on the Caribbean and over populated islands are not a pretty sight!

Revelation 16:15 Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.

My experience came with a lightsaber by the way  A century ago there was not much in the form of entertainment in these mountains. No cable TV, Internet, you may get two channels if the sky was clear enough,no amusement parks, as the counties were dry no bars. Pentecostalism was our...

Thanks... UHCAlan... Much joy experienced with that song! What people do not realize about times a century ago is that there was not much in the form of entertainment in these mountains. No cable TV, Internet, you may get two channels if the sky was clear enough,no amusement parks, as the...

He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels. - Revelation 3:5 I was fortunate to have come to Pentecostal Holiness back when the revivals were good...

Agreed! Good comment... And welcome back by the way.

Remembering the needs in prayer!

Good one!

I have a book ministry at work in which I share Christian material with my fellow work mates. One guy read a book and wanted to get saved. As he was afraid of my Pentecostal Holiness church he said that he would prefer a Baptist church like the one he was brought up in. Well, a soul saved is a...

I have my personal likes and dislikes... 1. Worship - Definitely Charismatic 2. Preaching - I like Joel Osteen 3. Evangelism - I miss RW Schambach 4. Ritual - I prefer the Baptist when it comes to communion 5. Doctrine - Wesleyan Pentecostal 6. Charity - I like a clean charity. 7. Structure - I...

The communion served in a side room and the time in which the elder showed slide shows instead of sharing the Word of God really threw me off. Here in my Pentecostal Holiness church there still is an altar and communion is still honorably shared. For this cause many are weak and sickly...

I expect three things out of a church... 1. Worship - A good worship service 2. Word - A time in the word of God by someone who has prepared a sermon 3. Ritual - I like for rituals like the Eucharist to be done honarably. 4. Doctrine - I like a well defined doctrinal position. When these four...

It is basically just worship. The time I went I was told that there was communion in a side room. Apparently you went there and just helped yourself. I did not take it as I like for a communion service to be a congregational wide thing served by deacons and preachers.

Well there is a little bit... What We Believe | Dwelling Place NRV My dad was a Catholic, mom Pentecostal Holiness, and strangely enough I was brought up in a Baptist church. So I am use to doctrinal foundations that take years in research to figure out. The Dwelling Place is just...

I wanted to donate to a ministry that supports poor people. On a search once again the Dwelling Place in Christiansburg, VA came up. I have been there before, though the worship is good there is not a preacher and it is run by 'elders.' So the services are just about all worship. Though I like...

Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump? - 1 Corinthians 5:6 It is my opinion that with the denomination comes the ego... And just a little of that stuff makes the whole lump bad.
