Have not had an opportunity to look at those Bibles

Thanks very much. I did know about the blue Letter but had not tried the desktop feature.

A little more to add. The Strong’s is great, especially for the money. Over 95% accurate. It’s errors, are linked to its direct association with the KJV so it inherits all that, and then also the modifications to the Bible. That last 5% are categorical. When they removed God’s name (YHWH)...

No harm, no foul Mental note: Bible Highlighter does not like Halloween and thinks that Christians should not celebrate As we see everybody studies with the Holy Spirit and then they come up with different answers....absolute fact, it is one of the reasons that you have 30,000 Protestant...

The amazing thing is that Mt. Ararat is nearly 17,000 feet. Now where the ark came to rest....what the Bible suggest is pretty much on top. I am ok with it being the whole world. Are taking about the scriptures, one of the Bibles or what they believed back then? I did not say that. Be...

That gets a little sticky.....According to Jewish tradition, the number of divine names that require the scribe's special care is seven: El, Elohim, Adonai, YHWH, Ehyeh-Asher-Ehyeh, Shaddai, Tzevaot, and will include Yahweh. Are they names or designations. And the funny...look up God in the...

I am assuming this is to me Sounds like you are using cult tactics....You may not be doing on purpose. Maybe I should rephrase that....People come up with cult like beliefs on their own. But you are right it takes more than one person to be a cult. I do take it seriously regarding words that...

Like I said, I was not sure. I just do not see people looking for a "Noah type boat" in North or South America. I do not deny that there was a flood, there is a lot of evidence of this on that side of the ocean. I agree with that I am mostly pointing out that the scriptures are mostly...

Any Noah ark type stories among them? Well, still not liberal....and I did not say that flood did not occur....And as far reaching their understanding is, I am not expecting for the Bible to tell us how pretty the penguins are or how high the kangaroo can jump. It is truth, just not all of...

I do not care what he says. Because I am smarter than he is.

Well I am not sure and that is an honest answer. The bible is mostly referencing the middle east. Different cultures on that side of the pond record a flood. Cultures in North and South America do not. There is a lot of people that have studied this and have different theories. And before you...

The flood is in the Bible so I have no issues with there being a flood. I believe Revelation has meaning in numbers and imagery and I have no issues with a 1000 year reign. How much before the NIV are you talking about. Sorry, that is running a race track in your head. The Laws of...

Liberal from the perspective of a fundamentalist. "important core doctrines" The funny thing for me, for the bible only perspective is how much they do not understand about, just the Bible. For the most part archeologists and science are proving what people call biblical myths and legends are...

LOL Wikipedia has been wrong before. This would define anyone as a liberal that is not a fundamentalist. I am not a fundamentalist and I am not a religious liberal. I seek the truth.

rephrase the question..."the Bible?" "historical liberal groups" New translations came out as more accurate information was discovered and new translatons also came out to make the Bible more easier to read....had nothing to do with "historical liberals" Well can you play catch with it? It is...

Well you have your own definition of liberal or liberalism running between your ears. Definition of liberalism 1: the quality or state of being liberal 2aoften capitalized : a movement in modern Protestantism emphasizing intellectual liberty and the spiritual and ethical content of...

I think my reliance on the actual scriptures will set very well with Christ. No where in the scriptures does it say, Have a seat and all that you will need to know will be dumped in your lap. Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. Christ...

Define what you think liberalism means....LOL Most people would laugh if they heard you call me a liberal. Again move off the idolatry. Follow God. If you are serious pick a modern translation. The Word of God is in the actual scriptures which has superiority and authority over any...

For a few reasons they have not. That is why you have 30,000 Protestant denominations. This is not true. I say I am multi-denominational which means I go to different churches because I like fellowshipping with Christians. LOL Even Calvinist churches sometimes. I am not looking for any of the...

Well thanks for looking into it. I got to tell you that it is a deep topic and you can dig deeper and the internet is not the best place. First off scholars are not in agreement as to why the New Testament was written mostly in Greek but the best explanation that I heard is that since the...
