@firstthings1st. @VictoryinJesus Yes, even someone who mostly stands against God can be used to sharpen others in their walks with God. Here we see the high priest breaking the law by tearing his own clothes supposedly because of the blasphemy of Jesus but seemingly caring nothing for God nor...

You are missing my point. I know that some Catholics are in error as I know that I have never been in any Protestant church where some people were not in error. I also know that I myself as recently as yesterday and perhaps even today have been in error. We can do as some people do and condemn...

If you were to simply talk with Mary, the mother of Jesus, how is that turning to a medium or necromancer? Was she... or is she a medium or necromancer? My old pastor, now age 95 has served God all of his natural life. He was married to the same woman for 66 years. She died in 2012...

Praying for you!

Where did I say anything about praying to anyone but God? I was talking about "living". But since you brought it up, can anyone alive pray for anyone else? Have you ever heard of intercessory prayer? Have you ever asked another person to pray for you? Has another person ever asked you to...

Mary is not among the living? How about Abraham, Isaac and Jacob? What men consider living and what God considers living are not the same thing, are they? And are we not to be like Him? "I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of...

Short and to the point!

In spite of the complaints about Peter Pan and a few other fictitious creatures, I, to this day, enjoy sitting watching the original Peter Pan movie version. Seriously, when my classmates at school were wanting to hurry up and grow up and would make fun of anyone still playing with kids toys, I...

Being in heaven might as being in the innocence of a child without any angry, cruel or intolerant interference of supposedly mature adults and older children. "And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven...

Ah but here in this present... Baa Baa black sheep have you any wool? Yes sir, yes sir, three bags full. One for my master, one for my dame... And one for the little boy who cries in the lane!

This was the last St. Patrick's Day cake baked by my wife. We used to gather together with other retired folks for fellowship dinners and snacks regularly. Happy early St. Patrick's Day to all...

For me, a better measure than our personal ideas regarding the nature of God or the Godhead... of where people are in God is love or charity as described here: "Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself...

"Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the LORD pondereth the hearts." Prov. 21:2 To get away from this... that is for to see what God sees, requires God's help... "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that...

Period!

@TLHKAJ Also joining in prayer here!

Praying for the people involved in this situation!

Aye, they had no wine and they had no Comforter. "1 So I returned, and considered all the oppressions that are done under the sun: and behold the tears of such as were oppressed, and they had no comforter; and on the side of their oppressors there was power; but they had no comforter." Ecc 4:1...

Similar to Judah when under siege by the Babylonians. Jeremiah warned them to not resist the Chaldeans/Babylonians if they wanted to live. Jerusalem was destroyed. [Jeremiah 21:8-10] After after 70 years in captivity only a tiny remnant, 42,360 [out of how many millions in Judah? Nehemiah 7:66]...

What do you do with this verse? "Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die." Ezek 18:4

Amen!
