Satan is forever attempting to undermine God's system of government and to that end he will give scripture a colouring. Without going into a long rave trying to prove or disprove anything consider these texts of which there are plenty more when all the banging of God's Law being done away with...

but you say, ‘I am innocent. God is not angry with me.' But I will judge you guilty of lying, because you say, ‘I have not sinned.' Jeremiah 2:34

knowing who the accuser is the first step...knowing which direction to go, the second.

the prize so delectable an avalanche not even in mind.....even in the face of tumbling rocks!

Naivety has ever been the MO of the masses......forgetfulness and the refusal to learn from the past sets the culture for any clever operator.

When our first parents believed Satans lie and acted on it they set themselves against God. It set a train of events in motion they would never have imagined. It started with the loss of the covering of light and that of self accusation/consciousness ....the result of guilt. A pathetic attempt...

Here is a way I try to understand the relationship between Jesus and the Father... Using our body and it's organs as an illustration....Jesus is the heart of God Jesus has always been with God....revealing God to us in a way we can relate to....flesh and blood ie, sweating, speaking...

Thanks Backlit, you've pulled that together very succinctly.

No issue with the late reply...I can relate. We know of the devil in Eden because we read back into it from information that surfaced later....information like Revelation 20:2 which identifies the Serpent. Ask a religious Jew who the Serpent in the garden was and they'll say, a talking snake of...

When someone stands in your stead to defend you without being asked because you didn't know how to ask and weren't capable of asking it says something about the character of that person. Does anyone know of anyone who would do that?? 'While we were yet sinners, Christ died for the ungodly'...
