I agree. I think Protestantism went too far in one way and not far enough in another. The Catholic views on spiritual things is actually superior to the Protestant. The Protestant views have created monsters like Westboro baptist....and all manner of hate.

Then yes...they are Christian according to your definition. They have placed all their faith (human belief) in Jesus for their own salvation. It's a free country...the weirdest people can place their weird faith in whoever they want...including Jesus.

Human belief is a concoction of religious opinion...political ideology, and human preference. Whereas real faith causes a man to walk in the very presence of God in His love, joy, and peace...a human belief just makes a person stubborn and causes him/her to go looking for other people to vent on.

Look for a building with a pointy roof....sometimes there is a bell or bells. It's open for an hour or so a week so you have to pick the right time. Look for a man in a white robe or someone with his collar turned backwards.......just sayin'
