Nancy. The word/title Antichrist has a specific meaning, which essentially means instead of, or in place of Christ. In other words whatever power, whether individual or corporate (another discussion), that power is a counterfeit of Christ. If you're interested i can post a study from Revelation...

Okay.

Before one is converted, he/she chooses to sin for it's his natural inclination. Being inclined in that direction however doesn't mean that choice is inevitable. Unbelievers choose not to commit crime, steal, covet etc every day. The difference for the Christian though is that the old man is...

I'm now 68 and am at present participating in my first ever formal Bible course. I enrolled because a. It's lockdown and b. There's always something new to discover about God and c. There's always deeper things to understand about why we believe what we do. And finally d. I wanted to be able to...

Take heed that you don't covet the higher seats etc.

I dunno but that sounds like passing the buck again...I sin cos I can't help it... It's in my nature. It's seems to be there a sense of wanting to evade responsibility.

I can think of another application where you, among numerous others, out of convenience set aside specific biblical directives and strive in order to justify it while accepting something in it's place that is not even implied at all, and is decidedly pagan in origin. Before going hard line on...

"God doesn't need a rotting corpse to create a new body". After 6000 years, there's a few people in the ground I would suggest the best scientists in the world would struggle to differentiate between them and dirt. At the Resurrection, if Jesus does need that dirt, He'll find it.

That sounds like that would be the kind of thing Eve would have said. The devil made me do it. While the Lord didn't disagree with Eve, he still held her responsible for making s bad choice. As will we. Things will only get better in life when we start making right choices. We are not forced to...

The problem I see in your post is that you seem to be taking choice out of the discussion. We sin because we choose to. For some reason, in heaven we will choose not to. Barney is asking why. Why will we choose not to in heaven? Same reason I believe we choose not to now. We have a progressively...

Thinking back to when Lucifer first rebelled. Perfect he was. As the covering cherub he more than any other closest to the throne. Yet he found reason to think that he could run the outfit better than God. Adam and Eve were not so privileged. They were young. Just learning. Yet still perfect...

It's a strange irony is it not that one can find a church with all it's doctrines lined up in a nice neat row, harmonises with scripture, such as... KJV Revelation 3 17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; , but are without love therefore KJV 1...

No, God forbid. KJV John 14 17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. KJV John 17 17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. 20 Neither pray I for these...

Life with Stevie Do you know what this is that she's proposing,?

The Bible and the writings of scripture aren't all that difficult to understand. If people go off into tangents and strange teachings it isn't the fault of scripture. You say you would rather rely on the explanations of the church fathers than on scripture itself. Why?

If the body of Christ is purely spiritual and cannot be seen, then it isn't much use to anyone is it. Yet I thought looking after widows, orphans, being hospitable, visiting the elderly, the sick, those in prison, need to be a visible work. We are literally His body...a physical reality that is...

Don't like it. Leaves me far too much time to spend on the internet lol.

Agree. How do you know where Jesus is working?

I'm not a fan for national either, they aren't going to take our country out of the UN globalist agreements that Jacinda signed us into. But your vote for Jacinda is a vote for anti-christ. While I fully sympathise with wanting to feel safe, are you willing to accept the responsibility and...

But scripture declares otherwise according to your reading of scripture, do you trust your conscience or the denomination?
