Yes, when a person is truly born again or born from above, he is God's child as Adam was God's child. Adam disinherited himself by his disobedience because the dead cannot inherit. We can do the same thing Adam did, or we can do it better than he did. The choice is ours as it was his! Remember...

Yes, we can say that God rescued us. He gave us the opportunity to choose rightly for ourselves or not. We now can make the same choice that Adam and Eve already made for us. They chose wrong and died... and all of their offspring were in the eyes of God dead... until and if they chose Jesus...

Are any of us still tempted or are all of the temptations completely gone in any one of us? I do believe that some have overcome the world of temptation by the power in them, the power of God in them. Jesus never sinned, but he was tempted. When he said that he was no longer "in" the world...

In much we do most certainly agree from some that I have read in your posts. I admittedly have not read many of them all because your average posts are usually too long for my limited powers of patience and concentration. [For me that came with physical age.] If when a person says that he is...

Nancy, almost everyone wants to live forever, it would seem, but most [all] of them also want to flirt with and even partake of sin, do they not? People wants the blessings God offers, but how many are willing to do all that He may require of them? "The young man saith unto him, All these...

My friend, the devils believe! Jesus is certainly speaking of something more than believing that he exists!

Too much of this going around. Being certain that you are right and that someone believing differently is wrong is the norm, but speaking against the person rather than against the specific point of disagreement are two quite different things. Charity/Love as per I Cor 13 comes to mind. I have...

I believe rather that the dishonesty is when a person says he knows he has a salvation that he will never lose while still doing anything that displeases God... anything that is which God would still call a sin. The wages of sin is death. Actually I do believe in OSAS in this sense. God knows...

And then consider this: "And there was yet a battle in Gath, where was a man of great stature, that had on every hand six fingers, and on every foot six toes, four and twenty in number; and he also was born to the giant." II Sam 21:20

Praying that God will lift you up onto Him!

@Debp Joining here in prayer!

And did writing the Word in a person's heart come even before it was written in a Book?

Even so...! Give God the glory!

I read, study, pray and wait on the Lord. Perhaps a prophet of such natural things I have never been although I read also all of the written scriptures. This is the day that the Lord hath made and being glad in it and having charity [love] is where I want to be until there is no time left to me...

Well we are to strive to always stand on the Lord's side. Lots of apparently 'good' intentioned people in the Bible who slipped and stumbled and fell. Some of them rose up again. Let us pray for any in this whose hearts got darker for even a moment. Our God is able in every situation. When we...

Very unfortunate! I could guess as to the why, but I will bite my own tongue on that and simply pray that God will open any doors that He has for you to walk through in this situation. Our God is able!

"I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work." John 9:4 But then... "Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee" Psalm 139:12

In response to this part of your post, a memory returned to me, a testimony of my old pastor. I have posted it on this on this forum before... but long before you were a member: Many years ago, a great many years before I had met them, my old pastor and his wife were traveling by automobile...

Although earlier in my life I certainly did not even consider the possibility, but now looking back... my own Catholic experience [ended in about 1961] was perhaps the best when it comes to the "church" not being run as a business for the benefit of the top dog or the few top dogs at the top of...

Do you suppose that some of that same Midianitish spirit is involved in the existence of the apparently thousands of denominations based on the same Bibles but at times holding firmly to diametrically opposed doctrines? Kind of like we sometimes may see in the debates or arguments or...
