First, neither Paul nor any of his contemporaries have spoken to me orally. I only have your word that they said this and that, outside of scripture. I am not about to entrust my Eternal destiny to you. Second, I have no issue with the letters, not any part of scripture. I do have issues with...

KJV Mark 7 9 And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.

Funny. I quoted a students Catechism'to marymog the other day with regards the Sunday/Sabbath issue and she didn't want to know. Admittedly, it wasn't the fancy catechism you find in detail on the main Vatican web site... But it's still a Catechism'which I would imagine teaches Catholic truth...

None of us would have any argument against the truth that Good does bless those that give. And the more we give, the more God blesses and gives more that we can give more. That is the very purpose of God's gifts... That we may supply the needs of others. The whole of creation was designed that...

I would like to draw your attention to the following... KJV James 2 Show No Partiality 1 My brethren, have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with respect of persons. 2 For if there come unto your assembly a man with a gold ring, in goodly apparel, and there come in also...

Wow @GISMYS_7 imagine how much more prosperous you would be if we had to pay for all the posts you have contributed to this forum. Why not take your prosperity preachers' messages to heart and imitate their practice and start selling their gospel? " Give me all your money and God will bless...

No, Good was not murdered by humans. The Divine Soo of God gave His life a ransom for many. There's a world of difference between offering your own life on behalf of others, and having your life taken by others. The former reveals the true extrent of the love of God.

In the New Testament, Christ is referred to as ‘the Son of God’ over 40 times. This can be found in such as Matthew 8:29, 14:33, 26:63, 27:40, 43, 54, Mark 1:1, 3:11, 15:39, Luke1:35, 31, 4:41, 8:28, 22:70, John 1:34, 49, 3:16, 18, 5:25, 9:35, 10:36, 11:4, 11:27, 19:7,20:31, Acts 8:37, 9:20...

When you start to clothe yourself with a fig leaf and hide behind a bush.

Can you see how ludicrous your statement is?... No more ludicrous than the Catholic listening to the local priest and trusting that he is telling the truth because...oh, he's a priest. He went to seminary. And at seminary they are taught doctrine from the Bi... Teachings of other priests who got...

There is a rapidly growing opposition to and resentment of her overtly blatant socialist policies. Legislation allowing for police to enter your home without a warrant. And more. You think Andrews a dictator? There are some who think Jacinda and her party are equally dictatorial...

Just to broaden the discussion somewhat, I was thinking that the greatest demonstration of fear that still impacts is today took place some 5000 odd years ago when the descendants of Noah decided to build that tower at Babel. You may not recognise the fear, but those folk knew the flood had been...

I think if fear is the absence of anything, it would be the absence of faith.

I can sympathize with Mary because sometimes it seems there's that many here.

Sorry, I meant to quote the following as part of the above post... KJV Romans 6 3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? 4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the...

Now who's lying? You asked me to show you from the catechism, where the church officially sanctioned persecution. I never claimed it was a catechism tenet. I said z yes, church policy, which I proved was indeed a fact. And many Popes and their underlings carried out that policy to great...

Indeed, for whatever Bible was derived from Rome came from the hand of an awful individual, Jerome. An offensive rude egotistical bad tempered fella whose Vulgate was a disaster. Meanwhile, the churches in the wilderness, those which were not in league with the empire and Constantine's political...

I think that if self preservation was the foundation principle that guided someone's actions, it would have profound affects on gaining salvation. As you quoted, he who saves his life shall lose it, but he who loses his life for my sake and the gospels, shall save it. Elsewhere we read that...

Concerning this baptism thing. When I read the following, I understand the verses as saying that baptism isn't so much a metaphor for cleansing, but rather death, in which case I would prefer to be buried than just sprinkled. I have been to Catholic funerals... Served as an altar boy at Requiem...
