The Hell Doctrine - No doctrinal unity

Jesus is a person, not a Biblical doctrine. And repeating the one verse STILL does not address the 3 views identified in the OP.

The Hell Doctrine - No doctrinal unity

Doesn't address the 3 Biblical but contrary views, does it?

How is it that you cannot see?

The 10 Commandments, written by the finger of God, is the most extreme example in human history of clarity. Only those who want to be confused, see confusion - as God's word says. Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter...

How is it that you cannot see?

I agree in a sense but not in another sense. It has nothing to do with pretending a person's word is another person. Mr E's words are not Charlie Brown. So, in that sense God's word is exactly the contents of a book that people bound together. Do you deny the 10 Commandments are God's words?

Aside from theological series, what can you recommend as TV/Movie 'entertainment' for an Evangelical Christian?

I also recommend wholesome family shows of the past Brady Bunch Andy Griffith Show Leave it To Beaver Father Know's Best

Logic more than textual criticism. Well, most people identify it as God's book because it contains the words of YHWH. Prophets speak and write God's word, by definition. Consider Isaiah 45, Thus says the LORD to his anointed, to Cyrus ... No one values the works of the prophets because they...

Aside from theological series, what can you recommend as TV/Movie 'entertainment' for an Evangelical Christian?

Twilight Zone and X-Files are also recommended for the same reason as Star Trek. In one episode of the new Twilight Zone, a professor struggled for months to solve a math problem, exclaiming, "I'd give my soul for the answer." Suddenly, the devil appeared stating the answer. Satan smugly said...

Aside from theological series, what can you recommend as TV/Movie 'entertainment' for an Evangelical Christian?

I always recommend Star Trek because most shows present a moral dilemma. For instance, one episode of Enterprise, the doctor was taken hostaged by Klingons. His option: let his patient die or allow the anti-bodies that saved him to be used to make a super-race of Klingons. This episode explains...

How is it that you cannot see?

Sure, disagree but what are the reasons and facts supporting taking out YHWH's name 7,000 times from Scripture? Regarding it being his book or man's book, that brings us back to agency.

How is it that you cannot see?

At least YHWH is a proper noun. So, there should be no substitute. IMO, replacing YHWH is worse than sloppy. Imagine writing a book, where your name is removed 7,000 times? No author would be happy with having their name removed from their book.

How is it that you cannot see?

Mainly because 'el' and 'elohim' are not English words AND there is no (single) word for word transliteration. Consider the one thing you put on bread to make a sandwich that consists of the 3 words: butter, nut and pea. I believe you pointed out the fallacy of putting too much importance on...

How is it that you cannot see?

Also in the use of definite articles. With 3 dozens lords or gods running around Scripture, we can get confused who is being referred to when we say "the" lord or god said such and such. Context is needed but does not push aside the pattern of certain generic terms that Christendom hold as...

How is it that you cannot see?

Not knowing who this denomination is, what their actual argument is and knowing that Proverbs 8 is about wisdom not Creation by Elohim, I cannot answer your question. I will say that you, more than most, acknoledge YHWH's council, other heavenly beings playing a roll in YHWH's plan. In the...

I agree YHWH alone is the Creator but deny he said he did it by himself. What verse says that?
