Thanks Lady C... I know hardly anything about eschatology. I don't think I've ever read Revelation all the way through. Some believe that the LoF will just burn everything up so that there's nothing left. Instead YOU believe that it will last forever? I won't be studying this any time soon...

They were Jews by nationality. But not by religion. Indeed Jewish is BOTH a nationality AND a religion. By the time the bible was put together,,,the 400's about,,,the Jews by religion were known as Christians. Agreed.

I think I agreed with you. You could read my post again. As to scripture itself being defined by the church.... Maybe it's not such a bad idea...the more I think of it. At least everyone in that church believes in conditional security and they don't have to argue about it for pages at a time...

When the Orthodox broke away in about 1,000AD...it leaves a question as to which one can be traced back to the beginning. THIS is my only problem..I can't think of any other church that goes all the way back to Peter. It would seem to me that the ortho splintered from the original church...
